Technically it's ten years as poppers suggests. However that's almost impossible these days and imho should be scrapped. A new formula needs to be put in place.

For me it may require a bit more work by the player but here goes.

A minimum of 150 games.
A minimum of six years continuous service
A minimum age of 30
A petition signed by a minimum of 500 fans.

Seems fair but may need some tweaks.

As for Kirmo, in this case it's a yes from me.

Played 110 games , over an 8 year period been loyal could have gone to Warrington for much bigger contract . In mod rn game probably one of the few players that could warrant one I m a yes

Andy’s was a 3 month testimonial. Given for 3 years at Sheffield, 1 at Hull KR, 6 at Giants and 3 at Wakey. Allkirmo has to do I’m sure, is apply for a 12 month one, I’m sure it would be granted.

And well deserved Mable, a top player and a nice bloke was Andy, still is.

100% yes from me - fully deserved, given his best years to this club when he could easily have moved on and not had to play when less than 100% fit, in which case he would have been in the running for England duty.

Agreed other than in all honesty I don't think Kirmo was international class. He'd have done a job but imho there were always better out there. That said some got picked who were definitely not better than Kirmo in his top two seasons.
