I have Supported Trinity for 44 years i have also played i talk to many people supporters and past players and i have my opinion just like you if you think Finn is good enough fair play I and many others i talk to do not he is too old too slow and i doubt he would get into any other SL side other than Widnes
We have a good pack real pace and quality in the threequarters but for me scrum half is the weak link and that is with all due respect to the man

I think at this moment in time we are a better team with Finn on the pitch, and we were last season when we had an NRL half in Sam Williams in the squad.

Maybe he`s not fashionable as he does not catch the eye, but i dont think there are many halfs in SL that can control a game like Finn can, his organisation and game management skills are second to none and every succesful team needs that.

I think this will be his final season anyway, who will take over that role.. who knows.

Slow - yes, but he salvaged our season last year once we realised that Williams wasnt the solution. He needs replacing, even he will accept that I guess in what will probably be his last season. However, that is the difficult part!

About to say similar. We brought Williams over from the NRL and gave him the chance to show what he could do, but apart from the odd game he never really was consistent or showed his NRL form. When it came to the business end, especially when Miller came back from the broken leg we had him & Finn playing together. Says something about Finn when Williams has walked straight back into a new contract with Canberra.

As for talking to old players, if you listened to Gary Schofield, like him or not he certainly knows how to play halfback and also isn't afraid to call it as he sees it & he raved about Finn's game just about all last year.

Nothing to do with me being right, it just is right - that's why CC keeps picking him!

He most certainly isn't always right - but he is on this occasion.

So if Chris Chester doesn't think that position needed improving last season ! Why did he sign Sam Williams?

Finn has done just fine for us the last two years. Much better than I hoped when he was signed.

Shame it didn't work out for Sam Williams and he put some good shifts in, just never 'clicked' for him.

Really excited to see what young Hampshire can can bring to the table. Had that Leeds left side on the back foot 2nd half on Boxing Day

Maybe he thought that Williams would improve what we had but, change his mind as the season went on.
Or, maybe he has someone else in his sights ?
