I'm happy with the start we've made but appereciate there is a long old season ahead and we need to be a bit smarter at times but I feel optimistic but I'm not booking my bus to London just yet.

Can't believe this thread, so Gale touched the ref!
We got beat, move on.
Some very sad, bitter and juvenile people about.

I am chilled, just astounded that there are several topic grasping at straws about why we lost, from the ref to offside.
I stopped blaming the ref about 30 years ago and know when we are our own worst enemy and when we have been beaten by a better side.

The topic became un pertinent the moment a member measuring contest occurred. Tbf the thread reeks of sour grapes, I'll be surprised if Gale gets anything.

If that kind of contact with the ref is an offence, why the hell don't they just penalise it on the field? I can understand being cited for levelling the ref, a la Hock or Houston, but if a player pats his shoulder or pulls his arm, surely the ref can just blow up and award a penalty on the spot?!

Who knows, we have all seen the banter between the ref and players having a laugh, the touchy feely acts of certain players may boarder on to this. Or maybe the ref didn't see the incident as an offence or he might not of even noticed it.
