We are 22.500 sq metres closer to the 60,000 trigger point than we were this morning. We have also had a public commitment to progress the matter. Just got back from the meeting and agree entirely. Without the nationals getting involved and the deluge of letters to councillors & MP's the subject of a community stadium for Wakefield would not have even been on the agenda. Chuckled to myself as he explained his dismay about the articles appearing just as he was at the end of months of meetings and negotiations to get this deal for the people of Wakefield...whatever Mr Box. However you want to save face is fine with me just as long as you are true to your televised words of today.

The pressure must stay on the council as while i know there are no elections this time around, if in twelve months time we are no further forward we should be holding the councils feet firmly to the fire.

This is very positive and a step forward but there is still a great deal of work for us to do.

We are awaiting the draft of the new multi-party agreement which will be run past our Lawyers which will be the start of the process.
