Numbers mean squat, in 2012 Ellis was 9, wood was 7 and Tim Smith 20 but Wood played Hooker and Smith played scrum half and Ellis barely played.

Some players choose their squad numbers - maybe he was asked and said 'I'll stick with last years number, it served me well' - comfort, superstition, lack of ego ... its the ones who demand a specific number that worry me, they're not team players. |

It'll definitely be Grix. Don't even think CC played BJB at full back in a single game last year so hopefully he gets 2 and Johnstone 5 because I'm OCD and Johnstone wearing 2 on the left wing last year annoyed me. |

First game of the year BJB was full back I think. Johnstone tried to offload to him on our own line. Don't think he played many more matches at FB, if any. |

I think that it would be really tough on Max, if he doesn't get the FB spot.
We should be trying to build our team around Jowitt and Johnstone and showing some commitment towards both of them.
Although Grix has way more experience, IMO, it would be wrong to select him ahead of young Max. |

Perhaps it was Jowitt's choice to not take 1, maybe he wants to consolidate his training and learn more from Grix whilest still getting a decent amount of game time

I have no inside knowledge of the club however I'm 100% confident that Scott Moore will not be playing for us; having been show a source from social media.
Which is a shame because I do like Moore as a player and he definitely brings something to our team.

well if numbers mean squat why bother numbering at all , and why all the traffic on here?
Most players want a 1 - 13 shirt and most coaches number their starting 13 in roughly the position they choose them to play . That can change over the course of a season in the case of Tim smith he wanted number 20 for superstition reasons. |
