| So their squad is announced. I'd assume this, but Siejka and Baile I assume are in to cover if Gaskell has to go to full back.
1 James Clare
2 Danny Williams
3 Adrian Purtell
4 Dane Nielsen
5 Omari Caro
6 Lee Gaskell
7 Danny Addy
8 Paul Clough
9 Adam O’Brien
10 Adam Sidlow
11 Tom Olbison
12 Dale Ferguson
13 Jay Pitts
14 Matty Blythe
15 Epalahame Lauaki
16 Steve Crossley
17 Matt Ryan
Harry Siejka
Jean-Philippe Baile

| Quite disappointed that Lauitiiti, Godinet and Johnstone are not in the 17. We lacked punch in the pack in the first half and Lauitiiti would have given this from off the bench instead of Washbrook.
Godinet is a more attacking threat than Moore but must be still injured?
Johnstone has pace to burn and think we lack his attacking threat in the outside backs with Owen only just back from a lay off....
This game is a must win and IMHO I don't think this is the strongest 17 that could be put out unless the above three are injured.
Anyway we'll be there in numbers in the red white and blue shouting for whoever plays for Trinity on Saturday.

| There is no replacement for pace and that is something we lack with the exception of Johnstone. There is no replacement for an off loading game which we lack with the exception of Ali. Oh wait a minute neither of these have been selected.

| Im not bothered what the team selections are, its best left to the coach. ALL I KNOW IS THAT A WINS A MUST. and if we get one that will do for me. Im expecting a close game with Trinity running out eventual winners.

Do you actually know why they have not been selected, or are you just guessing, perhaps Mr Smith has an agenda to get up your nose by not selecting your pick, or maybe just maybe he has other reasons not known to you and me as to why they're not in. Why not let him get on with his job and save your sarcasm for Mr Carter and his alleged cronies

| Be careful Chissit, I was reprimanded by a moderator for sarcasm!!
Totally agree with you though. So sick of reading garbage from the whiners.
Like Pop Tart, I am also expecting a big win, but then again, with a glass half full, I always am.

| It is an obvious thing to say but defence will be the key on Saturday.
Bradford have hammered some of the smaller teams but have really leaked points against Leigh, Featherstone, Sheffield and Halifax who we would expect to beat. BUT they have also scored points and sometimes outscored the opposition in those games.
I'm sure we'll score points but we need to be able to nullify their attack if we are to win.
But we should be expecting that after the Salford game. I think Salford would have beaten a lot of SL teams last week so we should still be going into this game with confidence.
If we win (and I know there is still a difference between being the better side and winning) I think we can go on with other wins against the top teams in the Middle 8 and escape that playoff game.

I'm disappointed and frustrated that there is no Godinet, Lautiti, or Johnstone named in the 19 for tomorrow, just as I'm sure most of them on here are, the difference is, most of us are mature about it and accept the coach whose worked with them all week might just have more of an insight as to what's happening than we do, well more than most of us anyway.

| Yes, actually, my big hope, again like everyone really, is that we pull off yet another Great Escape and retain our status.
I have a sneaky feeling with all the talk going around the amateur game since May that Leigh have issues that may affect things.
They are showing strain and some of their threads have been locked.
Brian Smith has forgotten more about Rugby League than most of us will ever know. If we survive, I hope he stays and give us a template for the future.

| I wasn't at Salford last week as was away on holiday, but definitely in the camp which says Brian Smith knows best and I am confident of a win tomorrow.
By all accounts we weren't that far off last week despite a poor first 40 minutes, so I think he is right to go with the same squad but hopefully they will have "fine tuned" a few stuff.
Just need to plan my Saturday train times from the wrong side of pennines so I can have a few scoops at Fernandes before hand and happy days

He can get on with trying to save the club sadly so far he has not had much success with just one win. We are getting better but is it quick enough to save us I don't know but I do know that last weeks squad lost and the first half was appalling, how can Griffin run nearly the length of the field. I don't believe wholesale changes need to be made but our lack of pace and offloads were there for all to see.
I am not sure what picking his nose has to do with the game but you are correct I would find it most annoying.
With regards Carter yes I believe he could be the one that finally destroys the club. When was the last time he had a supporters meeting, he appears to prefer social media and taking unilateral decisions without thinking how will this impact on the supporters. I will however see what is left by the end of the season because you never know he might surprise me and be actually working to a plan that won't destroy the club. I sense he is definitely a follower of Osbourne where a few years of austerity and then the good times will return. Wakefield Trinity sadly cannot survive years of austerity.
