One we have played our last game there we should turn out the lights and walk away. It doesn't make sense to continue paying rates ,utilities, insurance, up keep and rent in order to hang on to the place for 2 months for the sake of a friendly.

I have a sneaking feeling our last game could be a home fixture in the £1m game that would be the ideal time to say bye bye.

I have seen the good times of the 60's at Belle Vue but personally I can't wait to quit the dump.

No idea of the exact contractual timings obviously but at the point of handing our notice in it was said that it was the last day for doing so to give the 6 months notice required. That was the 24 th June, so takes us up to 24th December. Maybe a game after xmas wouldn't be an option anyway?

If you look at all the historical events both good and bad involving Wakefield Trinity you will see Belle Vue. It's been our home for over 100 years and yes it is shabby but we have somewhat let it get worse by not spending any money on it in the last two years.
I cannot contemplate we will have the same affinity with Dewsbury but we appear to be cascading headlong into a deal. I hope they consider this carefully but experience says they won't and money will be the major factor.
