I just mean in general, Gilmour as assistant is another. Sometimes you have to spend a little, heck whoever he gets don't get them on a 3 year deal for starters. It's clear Carter knows nothing about Rugby which is fine, so don't hire inexperienced head coaches!

I think Clans suggestion is a great one. At a loose end, no compo to pay and possibly would look to take on a short term deal with the option to extend.

I think he is a coach who needs a club with good resources behind him and he was never going to get that here. I could see him doing a good job on the backroom staff at a team like Hull who are already good defensively but struggle to score points. Something like that would be a good fit for him for a couple of years.
