Fitness isn't something you can magic up and won't change any time soon. What can happen now, especially if someone new took over, would be to treat the next 10 weeks or so as pre-season to get the fitness of the players up to a level that befits a professional Rugby League team. A sports psychologist wouldn't go amiss either.

I take it you have forgotten Noble finishing with the wooden spoon while at Salford in 2013 and then the 2nd half loss against a side named Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the start of 2014 in [url=http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-league/live/match/40000/formThis Game[/url
As for a greater level of fitness,I take it you haven't noticed the difference between Feka at Wigan and the slimline version at Hull FC.

| The club certainly needs some fresh ideas.
Any new coach that understands the constraints that will come with working at Wakefield yet has the experience to work with senior players. There aren't that many available and as someone has pointed out its their availability that could be the key to who we get.
There's been some obvious candidates spoken about but from memory every single one of them is currently employed in some capacity within the game.
Trying to think outside of the obvious there are options elsewhere who would be good candidates for the job.
I can think of one straight away who's a Wakefield born and bred former Super League Coach of the Year and is currently available.

Ha, much as I'd like to it's too early for me.
How about another member of the clan though?
Highly qualified at both Rugby codes with excellent contacts in both, experience of winning 2 Grand Finals, both massively against the odds. Former international Coach, Championship and Super League Coach of the year.
Most importantly, understands the man management of top flight players.
When it comes to identifying and negotiating with new players he's very experienced.
Been involved as a Coach all over the World right up to now.
Certainly someone worth speaking to if you're Michael Carter and Chris Brereton

| Someone mentioned Cummings knows some of our players, bad move for me. We need someone totally fresh with no "mates" in the squad to complicate things.

| I'm biased of course but that's balanced by my loyalty to Wakefield Trinity and the understanding that this appointment is vital to the future of the club.
I look at how Neil transformed Widnes when taking over from David Hulme, he knows how to get an under performing team to reach its potential. He is a play off knockout specialist who's reached 3 Grand Finals with unfancied teams, the kind of knowledge we will need come the Middle 8s at the end of the season.
He's a Wakefield man, a former Wakefield player.
He is one of the highest qualified RL and RU Coaches there is and has recently worked at the RUWC and with other International RU teams.
He's recently returned to Wakefield and is available.
Fate?

| Would not go for Cummins hes a nice enough bloke but struggled at Bradford yes they were in the mire but still had some very good players the more I think about it the more I like the idea of Neil Kelly when you think back he certainly turned Widnes fortunes around at the time a local lad who knows what it means to the fans and can bring a whole load of benefits and knowledge.Alas I aint MC or CB because I would certainly be knocking.

| JD would be my number 1 choice but the reality is I just can't see him coming.
Therefore I'd go with Morrison. He knows the club and more importantly he knows the Championship. We need the later as to help us with the playoffs and as to prepare for next year if we do go down.
I hope regardless the new coach gets the chance re bring in his own team.
It's time we had a clear out of existing Agar support staff and started again.
Clean slate and fresh start highly desirable if possible?

I recall seeing one of his half time team talks after a poor first 40 in the challenge cup, it may even have been against Trinity, where Neil Kelly was really laying into his team and indeed the cool box.
I think that's the kind of motivation this set of jokers need to perform to an acceptable level.I don't mind Webster but his ultimate flaw is his inability to instil any heart or desire in the side. I don't think he commands the respect of his players.

Good call, probably the forgotten Kelly brother.
I actually think his involvement in RU is a huge positive especially his International experience - you have to be both blind and arrogant to think there cannot be things to learn from other games.

Remember it well. We were playing Widnes at BV in front of BBC cameras and he 'kicked the bucket' in dressing room at half time. Yes, they won!
Did anyone give Rowley a bucket to kick?

| Neil Kelly is a belting call. If he's prepared to do it to the end of this season for thrupenceapenny.with an eye to a proper contract next season, I can't see a down side. Perfect fit to me.
Time to wield some fan power? It's worked before.

It needs to come from Neil, not us. If he has the drive, the desire and the will to take on the role to save the club from relegation and help re-build it (again) for next year, then he needs to show his hand.
I'm not going to campaign for anyone who doesn't want the role. I have no problem is planting the seed in his head though as to whether he would be interested.
JK had a burning hunger to get involved. He could see the wasted talent at BV and wanted to do something with it. That's why he got the job ultimately.

I think the position re Webster needs clarification or it makes it difficult for anyone to flat out state they want the job. If Webster isn't going then there's no job to stake a claim for!
Reading between the lines I think Clan is saying Neil Kelly's interested and would want the job
