It used to be the case in the P&R days that the promoted side could choose their first fixture.
They clearly thought Wakefield was a good option.
For some reason I seem to remember that they couldn't decide the Home/Away bit but not sure....but they certainly got the first shout for a while in Super League.

it's obviously been arranged to try get Salford off to a winning start.... SO obviously it'd be brilliant for you to beat them! Be a real slap in the face for Sinbad and Co anyway....

Given the choice I would take that start every year. Better to play them on heavy wet pitches in February than in August. |
