Bring back the Yorkshire and Lancashire Cups plus it'd be great if teams like Australia and New Zealand toured and played the top 8 clubs again.
Keep the system for Grand Final but promotion and relegation is needed.

Bring back winter rugby? Really? How many games do you want in a season with league , premiership, county cup pre season, challenge cup. Too much for the players. Unless you get knocked out first round of everything ! |

Have to say I love the magic weekend. Been to every one. Love a play off series but would only have a top 5. Enjoy the challenge cup final being in August. Only thing is change is a mid season break for internationals

Got to say i would stick with licensing but has been pointed out, the RFL have made a mockery of the concept and smaller clubs like Wake have not used it to their benefit.
If we go back to P+R we will have more over the hill imports coming over to prop up the promoted clubs for a season at the expense of developing our own.
The gap between Aus and England will become even greater.

I'd suggest its the gap between Italy and England that is our biggest worry at the moment  |

I dont disagree, whatever structure that is used, if it isnt worked at, it will fail, and if the people tasked with doing that work arent capable, then they should be replaced |

Let's go back to one division all clubs in it. Get rid of full time rugby go back to semi professional. All matches to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. Season to last from September to May. Last match of season Challenge Cup final at Wembley.
Oh and get rid of RL board & sky tv.

What is working well with SL and is worth keeping and what was the driving force behind the change to SL and the reason for change now? and what have been the pro's and con's as a result.
For me the many of the values of british sport and our game in general have suffered throught he period of change that covers he SL era. We have seen the demise of the national knock out competition, the demise of the national team, the loss of connection between the top level of the game and the lower leagues and the promised business model for all SL clubs to adapt to and attain has never materialised - furthermore the game is no further along the track to sustainable professionalism than it was 20 years ago if the sky money is taken out of the equation.
So what are the benefits, i can only say that outside of the spectacle of the big day at Old Trafford i cand honestly think of anything we have now that is better than the old days", and the game itself is lacking in consistency due to the mis management of the RFL.'"

too much my backside there used to be the County Cups The JPS the Floodlight the CC and 16 clubs in the old first division it was a better game to watch and we had skilled centres stand offs scrum halfs and loose forwards
