| Quote bellycouldtackle="bellycouldtackle"i think season ticket sales are fantastic, i bet that never before in the history of the club have we sold so many season tickets 5 months before the season starts. If we did one of thise clasic press realeases about how much season ticket sales were up as compared to this last season it would would make fantastic positive reading.'"
I don't know about the numbers sold, but I would think it is healthy in terms of revenue generated at this stage!

And yes any other time this would read as real positive news, but we're in the brown stuff and need more sales sharpish.
I'd guess plenty of people will see Xmas as the ideal time to buy season tickets but how soon does the club need the money before prized assets are sold off?

| I think people are missing the point with regard to the season ticket offer. How many folk have a yearly MOT. Normally 40 quid. Mine didn't cost me a penny last year. How many eat at Nandos. I rest my case. We should be increasing these benefits and pushing them like mad. We could do with a blue chip firm on board with a local branch. Like Cineworld or McDonalds.

I agree but are the discounts happening this year as they have not been mentioned anywhere that i've seen?

| This is a great point - we've used our tickets a few times in the past & tbh it's probably saved us enough to cover the price of the ST .
It's another good selling point that people don't realize .

Problem is most of it was spent before the present chairman took over!

| I had reservations regarding the MOT offer and only used the voucher because i go past the garage on the way home from work, however no need to fear
Totally genuine offer not rip off merchants at all. will be going there next year even if you do not get a voucher with ST.
Genuine Rugby fans sponsored two players last year.

| Are season tickets and memberships the same thing with memberships getting added benefits like vouchers off? What's the target for the club?

| MC stated 3000 season tickets would stop the sale of players , any sales over 3000 would be spent on extra players , as understand it (from another post) 1500 have been sold which isn’t bad to say the short period of time they have been on sale . but how is that 1500 broken down , I should imagine all the diehards on here have upgraded , so I wonder how many gold, platinum and legend have been sold.  Thus being closer to MCs target in monetary terms

| The MOT voucher is a good idea in theory, but why an autocentre in the middle of Leeds? I take my car locally so I can walk to collect not have to get a lift or a train and another bus. Why not support a garage in the centre of Wakefield and promote a local business.

It's not a case of the club supporting the garage in Leeds, it was the garage in Leeds supporting the club.
They get plenty of advertising by offering the free MOT and in return it helps the S/T look more value for money.
The garage obviously take a "hit" with the actual mot but, if they gain some long term customers and make something on any remedial work then they may be onto a winner.
IIRC, they did the MOT while you wait, so no need to drop the car off, just travelling and waiting time to factor in but, there is a saving of about £50.
