Southern seems out of shape to me. He can't play enough minutes to justify being captain. You know what he is far from my favourite player but the best bet seem to be mathers.

A full-back is often the best choice for skipper. They usually spend the 80 minutes on the field and their field of view usually gives them the best panorama. They do require the mental capacity to be a skipper though and I think that's where Mathers could fall short. |

I agree Mathers could be captain; but i think he has mental capacity to be captain- he has high amounts of confidence and seems to get on well with the team. I know those are not the full list of everything you need to be a captain, but I think he would be a good candidate |
