In all the years I have been watching RL pitches have always been the subject of discussion. One of the topics was missing ---- Is the first week of February to early to start the season? Would it not be better to start in March and go on a month later?

Really don't think it will be called off. Its 2 now and isn't going to drop below 1 tonight, so it shouldn't freeze and it will be warmer tomorrow.

Yeah, they haven't quite got a grasp of when summer is have they? Granted you can have lousy weather in March but the later it starts the less likely you are to have postponements. I don't suppose it will change though.
The answer is undersoil heating. Expensive but years ago I remember that was all that kept the Loiners in the old first division. They were able to play their games when other clubs were frozen out.

Quick weather update just been outside and it seems quite mild. Think it supposed to warm up as the day goes on.

Same here, just been out with last nights empties, and it's an overcast but mild morning.
Certainly not scientific or official, but I'd be surprised if the game was off.

Pitch inspection is at 10am and the club are confident the game will be ON
