After last night I fear it will be off its not that warm today and it will freeze tonight maybe not as bad but wont get much above freezing in the morning
the Barnsley game was called off at 12.30 my bet is it will be off

In all the years I have been watching RL pitches have always been the subject of discussion. One of the topics was missing ---- Is the first week of February to early to start the season? Would it not be better to start in March and go on a month later?

Really don't think it will be called off. Its 2 now and isn't going to drop below 1 tonight, so it shouldn't freeze and it will be warmer tomorrow.

Yeah, they haven't quite got a grasp of when summer is have they? Granted you can have lousy weather in March but the later it starts the less likely you are to have postponements. I don't suppose it will change though.
The answer is undersoil heating. Expensive but years ago I remember that was all that kept the Loiners in the old first division. They were able to play their games when other clubs were frozen out. |
