I agree form should be the governing factor, and from what I have seen from both players this season Davey is the better option.

Well it's the new coaches job to assess how each of the players offseason goes re: development of skills, physically.

We may very well see more of Walshaw, spires, trout, Annekin this coming year.

Walshaw I have seen is a big lad and looks like a Watkins type player. I hope with a good strong offseason he will be in the frame for a centre spot.

We need Trout to sign a contract first. This for me should be a priority, don't think we can afford to be losing him and Gledhill.

Hoping he will sign and give it a shot. He has been at wakey years and this next year will hopefully be his transition year. Heard mainly good things and he has switched to loose which is what we are in the Market for.

I am really trying to work out which watkins you are talking about mate because it cant be Kallum Watkins, because unfortunately from the 6 or 7 times i have seen walshaw he is worlds apart from Watkins who is still young and will improve.
Watkins has lightening pace and fantastic footwork and is exciting when on his game. He can completely bamboozle defences at times and run some fantastic lines. He can make some silly mistakes and his defence and positioning is sometimes not the best but definately a star of the future.

As for Walshaw I have seen him like i say about 6 or 7 times and not in one of those games did he trouble any defences, his positioning was all over the place, he does not have the pace to compare with watkins and to be honest for his size he is punching way way below his weight. Its my opinion that the reason why JK has not put him in the first team is fully justified because i dont think he is anywhere close at this moment in time.

Tommy Martyn? Does he not having something to do with the youth at Warrington?

That is fair, you have obviously seen him play many times. It's his first pro season so maybe with a long offseason to work on skills and physicality he can match the impact his frame has. I liken him more to Watkins in frame. Hopefully he can be something like but I know at present as you say there some way to go.

If Davey can't dislodge Lee based on this years performances he may as well start washing cars for a living. Lee will need to displace Davey from what i've seen. If Lee miraculously ups his game in the hooking role then fair play and good luck to him in trying to grab a spot in the 17, but to say he is currently ahead of Davey is madness from where i'm stood.
