As a one year adventure it would be fine but crowds and interest will drop off dramatically after the first year. And a lot will hinge on where we are going to be playing our home games.

Winning every week in a lower div wouldn't attract more fans + we would lose away support on the cc there's probably only fax or Leigh with away support worth talking about. We needs new stadium and be in SL that will increase crowds |

800 travelling fans is the most in our league I think... well average from the top 4. So nowhere near the same income which you get from the Hull teams. |

After 13 years we also have a generation of young fans who have never know anything but the top division and quality visiting teams with top notch players. The championship doesn't hold that attraction and as such we run the risk of losing many of these fans. People want to see the best, end of.

Although it would be a massive shame to go out of the top flight of English rugby, the club have to find some positives on which to build. The opportunity to consolidate and develop players is obviously vital and needs to be the emphasis. I will probably get down much more often with my lads as the prices will probably reduce a little.
A 3 year successful spell in NL1 could be the perfect springboard for a longer term revival.
