| Quote upthecats="upthecats"Unfortunately there will be games like that where we just aren't at the races...It's probably the worst I've seen us play but it's got to be expected with so much inexperience in the side...
Catalans are a very good side...big, strong and have excellent players leading them round the park...they were throwing the ball about for fun in the first half and we just couldn't cope...They scored some excellent tries and we were just soundly beaten by the better team...
We miss Rinaldi like you wouldn't believe....We couldn't have expected much more than we got attack wise with the inexperience of the 3 main pivot players...Wildie, Lee and Davey....two of those have been bit part players up to now and some of us are complaining that we lacked in the attacking department...if you can't see why then I suggest you take up watching another sport..'"
Whilst I accept the lack of experience with respect of the pivots, my main concern appears to be they're not getting any help with supporting runners. The is nothing on for any player once they've got the ball. One would've thought that with the lack of a Brough who can conjure up a piece of brilliance on his own the weekly training would revolve around developing some sort of structure which utilises dummy runners and players running decent angles, Trinity must be the easiest team to defend against.

| Catalans were the NAP bet of the weekend at -6. They are a very good side and i would not be surprised to see them at Old Trafford come the Grand Final. Salford are a different proposition on Friday and I can see us in with a shout over there. I myself listened on the radio and was surprised to hear that we maybe staying at BV for a further 2 yrs according to the commentator who had been speaking to JE prior to the game. This can only mean one thing in my mind that the June meeting will be to show off the plans for bringing BV up to SL standard for the beginning of next season.

| think you will find that the ugly stuff and consistent infringements were a result of Wakefield upping the game tempo. Something any team can afford to do if you have a half decent lead. We didn't mix things up enough today but when we did do a few different things they came off. Ref was bad but we were worse. Far too much wrestling first half. Yes you have first stop big men going forward but when a team is offloading like they did someone one needs to put them to floor a lot quicker.

| Quote Lupset_Airport="Lupset_Airport"Hats off to all those who went, I drove past the ground at 3.37 and felt pretty wretched to be honest. I really saw myself staying to the very end of our SL tenure but I suppose I'm a pretty crap fan

I still spend big amounts in the shop when we win but slowly detaching myself from some thing I love so very much is unbelievably hard. I love the club more than anyone but I just can't take the hurt from where we are.'" Why would you not go? Wakefield haven't been that bad...

| Disgusted that Mr Roby gets paid for that. Yes we were poor but how many times can you warn a team for head hunting and not punish them with ten minutes. Any other ref and they would have had at least 2 players banned, if not more.

| Poor performance end of. Unfortunately I think we'll have a few more of these over the second half of the season. We've been playing on spirit and adrenalin and that can only take you so far. Expect some heavier defeats than this but keep backing the lads as they are clearly busting a gut but we all know what they're up against. I don't envisage any more than three more wins this season at most.

Decided to let it go [ilast year[/i after constantly seeing 5 scoots from dummy half and a poor kick, but some good performances (giving the ball air!) have kept me interested this time around, I always show my support in the club store and that way I have something to show for my money other than a week of depression. There have been a couple of times I've wanted to go this year but haven't been able to get anyone to cover at work.
I'll be watching in person though when we get the stadium and the nipper can see for once. I think only then will we have the fillip to give 100% which is something that we haven't over the last few years, especially last and I'm not paying £20 to see folk going through the motions.

| Personally I cannot see many positives other than Johnson on the wing. I think Howarth is way off the mark but gets picked week in week out. The pack lack ideas and creativity but also the amount of possession we had near their line without gaining points was criminal. We look as if we do not know what is coming next, no planned moves and it's like U14's rugby where everyone wants tro take it from half back and score against four static defenders which very rarely comes off.
I do not blame the ref for the deisplay today, in fact when we got a bad decision, then it was the only time we played with spirit. The French created overlaps and ran through gaps for fun.
I love to watch Wakefield whatever but despite the physical dominance of Les Cats we did make them look good. Perhaps its time for a bit of a reschuffle on all fronts.

Got to agree - it's in no way an excuse (the best team definitely won on the day) but for me, Mr Roby was bordering on negligent today; he totally failed to protect the players and let the french forwards get away with murder.
In my view, this young chap has got some significant way to go before he is competent to be in charge of a SL game.

| We were poor today but Catalans played well would I think would have beaten most sides.
I thought for us Davey went well and was our best player.
One thing that must be said is that bar Korky, Hendo and Morrison, all our players were under 25 and all our backs were 22 and under.
Next week is a big game IMO. Salford are a team that we should be able to push all the way and with a bit of luck snnek a win.
