| At least there's some ideas starting to appear. The younger end aren't just the idiots who frequent the bottle bar!

Nobody knows what a dreadnought is these days, so I'd incorporate the Wildcats as either a nickname or the name for NM.
The biggest brand we have is Wakefield Trinity! Manchester United would never rename themselves Manchester Red Devils, the brand is there, the nickname runs aside it. Incorporate the junior supporters into it by all means, bit the older end will be happy to be just good old Wakefield Trinity.'"
Trinity was left for new clients and to try and reinvent after the last financial crisis...
What now?
Young people ie below 11 know it as Wildcats, they do not know Trinity, Olders prefer Trinity, the reason it has been resurrected was Rodney Walker wanted it!!!
it is a real quandry
However it seems that the problem is not with the name but the relationships that have gone wrong

One thing that struck me last night, is that the majority of those at the meeting last night will have been 50+, and who knows how many times they've dug into their pockets over the years to 'save' the club (and thank you for that), but. how can we get the younger end of our support to get involved with initiatives like the Trust?'"
In the good old days of Rock 'n Roll etc the kids were introduced to the game by their dads - the treat was to go to a match with dad, most of the time whether we liked it or not ! We were weaned on whichever sport which doesn't seem to happen nowadays - kids have other things to do so can never get the chance to be brought up with RL in their blood.Progress has a lot to answer for.Seems to be a game for old codgers like me now...

I am on the precipice! Still, at least we're old enough to see us pick up a trophy.

| The community department are one of if not the best in super league and do a great job but as well as getting the kids interested, we need to get their parents interested because at the end of the say it is the parents who spend the money and bring the kids to games. Also it is the parents who influence who their kids support so i think it is parents we need to go after.
Maybe one way to do this would be to hand out vouchers in schools so that a parent and child can both come to a game for £20 or something like that.
On a lighter note one way to raise attendences in years to come would be for all us current wakey fans to have lots of kids and bring them up to be Trin through and through.

for example we pay €190 (about £160) for a season ticket which allows a couple plus one child to watch the ten league games plus the two home NRC games plus the annual pre-season friendly against the Catalans
really good value IMO - I don't know how this compares to the other Championship clubs ?
the club often do special free games for school parties, like most other clubs probably.
