The only players OOC contract at the end of the year are:

Gleeson
Cooke
Bibb
King
Laeano
Latu
Johnson
JD

I think it would be safe to assume Bibb won't be retained. Perhaps a drop into the Championship will be a kick up the backside to get his career started.

Leano has an option for next year - so technically not OOC.

I'm sure I was told that Johnson was on 2 years - but my own thought was that he was OOC this year.

Of the above, Leano, King and Johnson should be retained if poss - Cooke - well that comes down to what is available and what deals can be done. It would be a shame to lose him in our quest for a SH or Hooker, but we need at least one of those if Latu is not to be retained as well!

If Bibb / Gleeson / JD and Latu were our only losses from this years squad, that would be a good result - I much prefer it when we don't have a big turnover of players as some (e.g. Tronc and Newton) will always go wrong for various reasons. Better the devil......

The Cooke deal has to be right for us and nowhere near the rumoured figures he could previously command. Think there may be a couple of sides looking for half backs at the end of the season and theres no way we should enter a bidding war for him.

Johnson im not sure on. Although i think he has been decent when he has played another year on and im really not sure as he has had his injury probems over the years.

JD is a certainty to go as is Bibb i would think. Gleeson may get another year as he has age on his side but that really depends on what else is available. Latu i dont think we will see for visa reasons if nothing else.
Leano has to prove it over the next however many games

Out of all those the only one i would definately go for would be King with Cooke if the correct deal could be struck

JD- a little unfair on him, as been playing in the centres, we get a lot more use out of him at loose forward, but injurys etc.. they have had put him there... i still think for 20 mins each half at loose forward he cud do a good job there... But who knows what they have planned ?

As far as Big Charlie is concerned I am sure all those who saw what he offered at wrexham would have no problem keeping him next year.

reckon there is 4 there that will not be gracing he hallowed turf next year but for what it is worth i would keep jd another year. great impact player and a lot more

Whats up with hendo? been one our most consistent performers this year. Not the most expensive player and does alot of hard graft

you cant keep a player on sentiment. jd has been great for this club and run his ass off over the years, but his legs have gone. it happens to all players some sooner than others
