No tournament is pointless and when Carnegie are putting prize money up then why not win it. For me at least 4 players from the seventeen should be playing

on the otherhand though, Kear has probably put out the players he believes could break into the first team next year, playing them in the tournament will give them a chance to play against super league players without the pressure and intensity of a first team game. It will be interesting to see how they compete

Just imagine if we played Blaymire and he got injured!!!! We would be left with no full back for the play offs!!! It is just not worth the risk!

Plus it give the kids (that are flying) a chance to impress!!!

Would that be the same Wildcats that were given no chance of reaching the playoffs this year either, or avoiding relegation for the previous few seasons.

That Wildcats team may not have as many first teamers as other sides put out but it will have the Trinity SPIRIT which will help them a lot.

I don't expect them to win but it is a good chance to gain some experience for them.

what about if Blaymire gets injured against Catalans or Hull KR?
