Both sides will be rusty and Catalan will no doubt be favourites but, we have to go into this on expecting to win, after all it's round one and there is no form book yet.

We've got be realistic here. I`d be happy with a narrow defeat in this one, I`d like to see the boys give 100% and Catalan are a quality side

Okay , let`s be realistic... I`m not sure I've ever heard a fan going into a game be "happy" with a defeat, you can go into a game not expecting to come away with 2 points, you can come away from defeat with some positives, doesn`t mean you should be happy with been beaten, I sure hope the coaching staff and team aren`t going into the game been happy with a narrow defeat, if we are not coming to win against any team we play then why bother turning up.

FWIW I went into the Catalans game last year doing exactly that, I didn't expect to win, we lost by two points and I WAS happy because we had a young side that gave 110% and did us proud.

Out of interest, if your "happy" to lose to Catalan I would assume your happy to lose to a whole host of other teams that have been consistently better than Catalan and us, in the end you will be "happy" to finish bottom and get relegated, as long as we gave it a good go, it`s the taking part that counts. Again I hope the people inside the club are a lot more ambitious and I`m sure they are.

In regards to the rest of your drivvel, no I wouldn't as I don't think there is a better side than Catalans this year.

I think your flapping Timmy, I`m not sure how anyone puts this Catalan side over the likes of Saints and Wigan but if that`s your genuine opinion then OK.

Our record at home against Catalans isn't bad.

Catalan have had a short pre season and a few players out. Cold dark Feb night in Wakey will also be in our favour. I really fancy us to win

The cold dark night thing doesn't really count any more.
Half the team are from Wigan or at least not from South of France so no different to our team.

And it's not exactly warm in South of France right now anyway.

Discounting today, its usually warmer over there than it is here but, you're right, it wont make much difference.

By half the team, you mean 1 player? 2 if you count the one that`s not playing. I think you`re discrediting Catalan here PT, in there first 17 squad numbers they have 10 French players. Out of a squad of 32, 20 are French, 5 are Englishmen, the rest are Aussies.

The "cold dark night thing" may well not really count, but the travel does and in the past Catalan haven`t travelled very well at all, that`s proven in the results although I do think they have got a lot better away than they were a few years ago.
