I also have to laugh at your other argument regarding tried and trusted hookers who have played in that role since leaving the womb. Josh Wood was one of those and that worked out well didn't it! I reckon I wouldn't have to dig very deep to find a few others if I trawled back a bit.
You judge a player on what he does on the pitch, not what his Wiki page states he is.

I'm judging Kay solely on what I've seen on the pitch, and I don't think he's a very good hooker. You've said he's an excellent hooker, but agree he wouldn't get a game there at any other club? He's a decent winger, when he's back that's where we need to play him. |

Part of the problem with Hood is that he can't do the full 80 which always means we have to have an option to rotate. Kay gave a good account of himself at 9 and has also provided cover in the backs which makes him a valuable member of the 17 when fit.
I would have liked to see Bowes get more opportunities as he seems both capable and fit enough to play longer minutes. |

Bowes hasn’t got the skills, he may have eventually but now he’s not quite there imho. He does have some very positive attributes and a loan spell at another club would do him the world of good. |

God to agree it looks pretty shoddy. That said the only attribute Gaskell has left is a decent pass so Murphy may get a chance.
It’s fair to say Hall has faltered in recent weeks and a rest is not a bad idea.

I’m sure you mentioned attending the fixture versus KR reserves earlier in the year and appreciate it wasn’t against their first team but he looked brilliant with ball in hand, didn’t he? Well I thought so anyway but god knows what has changed. |

We have brought in several props, a winger and a fullback maybe we should have been looking at acquiring a centre as well because this was obviously an area we lacked cover.
I bet those in the temporary stand are not so happy with the current weather conditions or have we thought of a contingency plan.
