| Quote: MOPSEY LIVES ON "vasty IMO some of these players are challenging the club, the coach the CEO and are showing no respect for the people round them whatever ones views on Covid. If the players do it once tell them it’s not on and a second time will lead to disciplinary proceedings but for goodness sake not the same players two, three and four times'"
I agree, it’s a slap in the face also to their team mates.
It’s not easy as a Trinity CEO and couch to be tough as we often depend on the good will of players more than most but their is a limit.
If we got rid of Fifita I wouldn’t weep a single tear. He clearly doesn’t want to be part of the team in the full sense of the word, he has an arrogance that once served us well but is now counter productive. To me there is no risk in letting him go because regardless of whatever he offers his new club he clearly is no longer willing to give it to us.
The rest are sheep it’s clear who the personality is. Get rid of him and Gigot as we have now done and I’ll guarantee you that at the very worse we won’t be any worse off.

| Let’s all ease back a bit now. The club will deal with this, starting tomorrow, training day, All staff and players will have the mandatory Covid testing, then if anyone at that party are eventually tested positive, they should receive a right royal bol#####ing.

| Firstly, it isn't 'clear' who the ring leader is.
Nor is it clear who was there and what they were doing.
The pile on attitude of fans is as frustrating to me as what the players have alledgedly done.
When we get good news about stadium and a request to put a comment on the plans its like a tumbleweed thread. Something happens where players can be criticised the world is suddenly an outraged season ticket holder who feels betrayed.
Get a grip.
They broke a law that has an initial penalty less than a speeding fine.
They did something that is potentially harmful to others which can be handled with testing and isolation.
They embarrassed the club and gave us some bad PR, which the club have said they will handle and have clearly started doing so with the Gigot news.
I'm not happy with what they did at all. I'm happy that the club will handle it.
So the people who want to discuss it by all means do. I'll do the same.
The people who only want to come on and stick the boot in need to grow up a bit.

| It's clear that the club need to get a grip and there seems to be recurring problems from certain players.
Certainly, filming this and putting it on social media is about as daft as it gets.
The problem here is that with so many players involved (allegedly), it's impossible to get rid and I'm sure that they know this.
It's not great on multiple levels and there needs to be some maximum fines issued by the club which for PR purposes, probably need to be given very publicly to Charity or the NHS.
Thanks lads, great start to the year and Trinity get dragged trough the mud, AGAIN

| And to be honest, providing there are no health issues from what they did, if it's the cause of Gigot leaving by mutual concent without a payoff then I'd have thought most people would be happy.

Most people posting like me are saying they've heard about it rather than seen it.

It was one of the players on Instagram (not sure if I can name players). The partner of one of the other players involved also put it on her Instagram (which I saw). One of the players involved has also been involved in another party which was shared on Instagram by their partner.
The stupidity is unreal!

To be honest I’m starting to get sick to the back teeth of players just seemingly thinking they are untouchable. It sends out an awful message to the fans, sponsors, media and our younger players. All of those involved were senior players and some are involved in this ‘Leadership Group’ we often hear about. About time they started taking some accountability and ‘leading’.
None of the players involved are irreplaceable in my view and if I were the players I’d be embarrassed. What did they think was going to happen. The sheer stupidity/arrogance/ego stroking or whatever it is of sharing it on social media is a kick in the teeth to everyone who is doing their best during the current times. I’m not saying for one minute that others/public/fans have 100% followed every rule. But to flaunt it in everyone’s faces is lunacy!
I’m just glad the club have at least acknowledged it and are looking to do something about it. One of the players involved should already count himself lucky after Vest Gate!

| Surely the well publicised footage will mysteriously make its way to the authorities and result in the police paying a visit to see the individuals involved at the club on Monday morning?

Again some of what you say is true.
Where you are wrong imo and being typically perverse is regarding the ringleader. Come off it PT, those involved according to every report I’ve seen from those who saw it has been confirmed so may I politely suggest you get a grip!
As Fifita was there unless everyone is fibbing he was almost certainly at the heart of it, he always is, he’s that kind of bloke. You claim to have played RL, if you have you will know that Fifita is the kind of bloke other players revolve around. They are not necessarily malicious but they do call all the shots especially where weaker personalities are concerned. If you don’t know these kinds of people then you lived in a bubble long before Covid.
He may not of issued orders or even instigated but you can be sure he soon became enthusiastically involved and almost certainly took the lead. It’s that from your best paid most senior player in terms of profile that makes it so wrong. Not just that he has form or doesn’t that count.
It’s actually the polar opposite of what it should be in truth. Fifita 31, family man and high profile player should be able to resist a beer. It should be Crowther or Jowitt who as young men you might expect to break rules, something they don’t seem to have done.
This is where you’re post mirrors how society in general has gone so wrong. You seem hell bend on defending the lowest common denominator. Whether it be troll posters or rogue players, it’s every time. Yet quality posters pack in posting on here because you’re on there backs constantly for stating the obvious truth regarding the above. I don’t think you’re malicious either but for heavens sake some things are simply obvious.
These players are not victims, the truth is out there on social media for all to see. They did that, nobody else and they should be punished in due course in whatever way the club sees fit. However to pretend the evidence isn’t damning and there are somehow some mitigating circumstance, give us all a break.
In fairness I’m now going to hunt down this video if I can to assure myself, I will let you know either way if I’m successful.

| Well that was fruitless, proved well beyond my social media skills.
If anyone has a link can they PM me please?
If I’m to go on a crusade of sorts I suppose I owe it to those allegedly involved to be totally sure myself.

| Fair play to the club for releasing a statement and actually look like they are going to be doing something about it.
Other teams have just brushed it under the carpet.
