Pitts came through and played at a difficult time for the club and made a very good impression as a young prop. Unfortunately, he was a lifelong Leeds fan and when they came knocking he was lured by the opportunity to fulfil a childhood ambition. A poor move from him as he was a long way from breaking into that Leeds pack and his development probably suffered until he moved on again.

I can't recall him having a poor game for us and he would be a welcome addition now.

How can you give an honest opinion when the squad will look fairly different come the start of the season. Two overseas/Non fed spots to fill and about 6/7 to come in.

You missed Kelepi. He’ll be a big player for us next year. This season ended too early. The lad was just hitting his straps.

At least it keeps the development pathway open - Cronulla Sharks to Wakefield.

If you could actually read I never said any of those players were crap, I said you had too many average players, the players you’ve listed are all good players but that’s 5/30+ players in a squad

That mate applies to all teams in SL even Saints or Wigan. Wigan looked appalling at the start of the season with the vast amount of their squad appearing mediocre in the extreme. However a good run with few injuries and a few lucky breaks and they now look world beaters.

That team is fundamentally the same now as six month ago in content but has had a season that allowed it to grow.

Love to know what you were predicting for Salford at the start of the year, I bet it wasn’t third place. But hey you know the potential dynamics of every team in SL 2020 so who am I to argue.

Of course you could be right but with only a small number of SL teams it’s a small field so anyone can get lucky rather than be smart.

so now we can add walker, green, westerman, Atkins , Pitts probably Hampshire - kirmo available so 29/30 pretty much confirmed - second hooker and ideally another prop would be very happy with squad

Last year we started with Pauli , Horo, bt, milky, Dave , Randal and arona this year tanginoa replaced Horo , so in theory we still have Randal and Pauli’s spots available I think
