The booing of danny kirmond by the sts fans today was appalling, he's being an amazing SL servant and is one of the most genuine and honest players in the game

For them to boo him when he was so badly injured is shocking, the sts fans are an embarrassment to the game

I won't mention the continuous shouts for forward passes either

Very poor taste

Just sat through the recording. Game lost when Hampshire lost ball and Saints went full length to set up subsequent try. Comeback chance lost when Wood lost ball following tackle from Lomax.
The script had been written well before match day. Wakey stuck to it. Once again, maybe next season?

Kirmond really is shot though these days. Every time he goes in to a collision you expect him to get injured.

They weren't booing at Kirmond, I'd be disgusted if I thought that. When he got injured it was clearly his leg as that was what the medics were working on. The cameras then panned in on Chester and he was animatedly hitting his head with his hand clearly indicating that they should say it was a head injury so that he could have the 15 minutes break to see if he'd be OK. Totally understandable from a coach dealing with your injury list, just unfortunate that it was clearly shown on screen.

And was clutching his leg.

Game shouldn’t have been stopped.

Chester clearly didn’t do that at all...you could see he was questioning whether or not it was a head injury or not and whether he needed to come off...don’t make things up to make him look like a cheat when he isn’t!...

FWIW I thought the crowd were booing because the referee wrongly stopped play when they were in an attacking position when it was only a leg injury...2nd time it was rightly stopped though for the head knock which ended his game...

No complaints about that. Brough isn't in the team to defend.

The issue is the problem Wake had respecting possession. Brough can't do anything without the ball.

EVERY player is in the team to defend or, at least they should be.
Of course you wouldn't put your halves in the middle but, you would expect them to be tackling their opposite number.

On the game itself, with the patched up side that Trinity put out, especially with the late withdrawal of MCB, we never looked like we would have enough to win the game.
Even with a full squad to pick from, this would have been a tough ask but, as we were, it was always a question of how many Saints would win by.
The bookies had Trinity with 20 points start and even that didn't look enough and so it proved.

Saints played well today, especially in the first half but, were never tested.

We were close to that first incident, the player had a knock to the knee and got up on all fours to ease it off. The trainer came on and told him to lie down and it looked as though he indicated a head knock to the touch judge. By that time the tackle was 65 metres away and I assume the touch judge relayed head knock to the ref who decided to stop play. That was what the fans were booing for because it looked as though the officials had been conned as saints were 10 metres from the try line.

The second incident was a straight forward head knock and I dont think the home fans responded as much as the first incident despite the fans seeing it with a bit of suspicion.

Yes you are correct.
I should have said....he's not in the team to tackle. However defend is different.

Isn’t in the team to defend now that’s a classic. That’s why yesterday rocky pulled off 3 or 4 try savers and jowitt did last week cause people aren’t doing their job.

You see I already said I was wrong and changed defend to tackle.
I cannot answer for your eyesight.
