| Must not be re-orienting the ground through 90 degrees then, as suggested by some, otherwise it would not be the East stand anymore.

Sounds great but I don't think that's a go-er for us. Way too expensive.
There is room for a stand at the west side. There was one there before.

Yes, I remember sitting in it. Thought they had looked into a stand on that side and a problem with planning permission and blocking visibility for Sky tv cameras.

| Not expecting anyone to know answer , but if a new stand on west side interfers with Sky cameras, how on earth do they manage at normal four stand grounds?

| I think that was just because the gantry wasn't high enough, they wouldn't have been able to see the corners.
New gantry would need to be included i guess, either built on top or hanging beneath the roof.
It also has to be at that side of the ground with the sun.

| If the east stand is planning to be first, surely that’s not possible without the purchase of the houses? If it’s literally months rather than years to the first phase then those houses are either purchased or need purchasing ASAP

| The houses are well out of the way for what would likely be constructed there. It's not as if it's going to be the size of Anfield's main stand.

IIRC it was the proposal under the Glover regime to put a roof down all of the western terrace, which would have been below the TV gantry, which was the reason for the small covered area in the corner.
If they were to flatten that side and start again, I'm pretty sure that it could be sorted. Plus, if there was going to be some major development on the East side, then surely, they could be something over there to accommodate TV and Press etc it doesnt need to stat on the Western Terrace.
As for having a stand over there, it wouldn't have to be anything too big. Only Cas, Leeds and maybe FC bring anything over a couple of thousand fans so, plenty of room on that side without too much effort, although the terracing / seating would need lifting from its current level.

| I believe that you find the needs of broadcasters will be included in the design as in all new stadia

There's plenty of space for a new East stand which suits our needs, but I would suspect that it would use the terraced area in front, sadly for those people who've stood there for years.

There is acres of space between the existing east stand and the house and bathroom shop, i'm not sure what your concern is.
Ok in an ideal world they would be includes in the purchase but, you wouldn't to be able to build/ develop the ground so close to Doncaster road anyway.

| This is as crude a measurement as I could do, but the West Stand is around fifteen metres deep (I used Google Maps in satellite view and compared it to the try-line to twenty metre mark on the pitch). The East Stand isn't much deeper. The stand behind the posts at Salford is around twenty two metres deep, if you measure it from the hoardings, so that it incorporates an exit path, and I'm pretty sure there is a big space behind the terraces, so that the terracing does not go for the full width.
What I'm trying to say is that a stand the same as Salford's away stand, or the seats along the side, would fit easily, assuming the terracing will still be as close to the pitch.
I imagine the devvelopment will be the East Stand for best seats and hospitality. Bulldoze the flats and build a small away stand similar to Salford. West and North Terraces for home fans, but perhaps the North Stand smaller so that the looks more balanced. I'm guessing that it wouldn't be too dissimilar to Salford in appearance, except the stands will hug the pitch a little more and the main stand won't be as grand.

I am on about the fair, and I'm embarrassed whenever it's set up outside BV. You don't see top football or rugby union clubs associating or being associated with travellers.
