Quote: Dunkirk Spirit "Good Morning
Please see attached Planning and Highways Committee guidance for speakers. Please ignore the time stated on the guidance note and refer instead to the letter (attached to email) you have previously been sent earlier this week, the time of the Committee will be 11:30 on Thursday 21st February 2019. If you are registered to speak at the committee you can ignore this email.
Kind Regards
James Long
Principal Planning Officer- Service Delivery

Wakefield Council
Wakefield One
PO Box 700, Burton Street, Wakefield, WF1 2EB
Email:
We have requested that the following be permitted to speak :
Jonathan Stone - Chair, Wakefield & District Community Trust
Phil Townsend - SWAG
Mary Creagh MP
This is a Planning Meeting and the Chair will not permit an open debate on the whole Newmarket fiasco so we will focus our objection to the current planning application and why.
I believe it's a public meeting so anyone who wishes to attend is at liberty to do so.

| Am happy if Mary Creagh speaks.
Her objection was very good.

| Oh the irony!! I don't read the Wakefield Express these days, but I just happened to have a glance through it today. On page 24 There was a large headline "Nominate Your Community Hero"], and who should be staring up at me from the page with a huge grin like a Cheshire cat but Mr Rodney Myerscough Walker ( I don't recognise knighthoods). I guess his community mindedness doesn't stretch to stadiums anymore.

Might surprise you but reactionary old right winger I may be I too detest the honours system. However tbf Rodney is the perfect Knight of the realm - a greedy, thuggish mercenary - so I’m actually quite happy to recognise him as a Sir as it’s not a sign of respect in my book.
Don’t get too giddy though as I love the job the Royal family do most especially her Majesty. Even you have to admit it’s not what they do it’s what they stop others doing. Imagine if Rodders or worse and there are plenty worse from both the left and the right would be like if they thought they could get the top job
Not that any of this helps us get what we deserve unless HRH is a secret Trin fan

| I would rather vote for white dog turd as a Wakefield hero.

Seriously, not now, not in the past or in the future.

You may not be so far of the mark Vasty. I'm sure I saw Mrs Windsor give Rocky Turner a wink when she presented him with the RL Callenge cup in 1960

An allotment at Newmarket might be a possibility, once the Council have finished waving through all Yorkcourts planning apps

| They likely never started.
Clearly this 'good news' and the Kitwave application are closly linked. This concerns me greatly. I hope I'm wrong but i can well see a token gesture from YC/Box to not kick up the stink this deserves whilst the apllication is decided. i hope Ian, Phil and Jonathan get the opportunity to get the full message heard at the chamber and scare Box's nodding dogs with the words Judicial Review. it might just mean this doesnt get railroaded through without fair recompense.
