It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

I remember Eamon McManus making such a claim in an interview shortly after the deal was agreed.

| Quote: Shifty Cat "Well that article plus another one somewhere else I read has had plenty of people believing in rubbish for the last 2 years then MC. Martyn Sadler maybe wants to check his sources better in future then, especially when he's announcing to the RL world, the supposed in's and out's of the Sky deal a couple of years ago..'"
From the above figures am I right in thinking that sky money accounts for:
£1,495,000 + £100,000 (academy).
Do sky give an extra £100,000 for the foundation or is that the clubs money?
Will it be the same amount for next season?

To quote Mr CarterWe got 1.495 this year plus 100k towards the academy (which we have to match) and 100k goes into our foundation'"
Yes the first 2 are correct. On the 3rd point I'm not sure if it's extra, or it comes out of the 1,495,000 million .

I've no idea, but I'd expect them to be the same. Surely everyone gets the same level of funding from sky.

Is it not based on where you finish the season before like football? I remember people calling our game with Widnes the £25,000 game as that was apparently the difference in central funding for 7th and 8th.

Yes it is, you get 25k more for each position up the ladder from 8th.

| So, should we try and keep Scruton on a cheaper deal for squad depth or just move on?

Move on. England can do long minutes and is a better prop. As others have said he chose to leave so there should be no way back

| we need to incease quality in the front row. Fifita is yet to sign so that leaves us with;
England- our best prop
Simon- always looks to have a mistake in him
Arona- solid enough
Hirst - unproven at this level
Walker - sl class? (No)
Yates- sl class? (No)
We need fifita plus a quality proven first grade prop. Problem is who is available within budget?

That's very harsh, I don't think he makes any more mistakes than England or any other player for that matter, I think Simone has really proved his self this year
Annekin is till under contract for next year, I think he is great prop cover,
Absolutely agree on Fafita, would be massive for us if we could resign him
Chester has said we are very close to signing a prop and a back row, so will have to see what developes over the next few days now the million pound game is over

| That's your view mate and that's fine on Simon. It's different to mine just like our views on annakin, he's another walker/Yates to me.

| For me here, the key is keeping Fifita.
I too, think the comments on Simon are a little harsh. He makes no more errors than England and although much lighter than England and Fifita, he runs it in as har as anyone.
Walker at Hull KR has slipped under the radar a bit but I think he is the best of Hull KRs props. I liked the idea of Kopzcak or Cox to be honest but Kopzcak may now stay put. He may though want to team up with John Kear given the Wales connection.
I did mention a couple of weeks ago of Cox and Kopzcak both being signed, and moving Simon to the back row. He played there a bit I believe in 2015. He could be effective and his body may not get the battering it has had this year.
I am however realistic so bringing both in may not happen

Sorry but I agree with the other guy.
Simone make far to many errors way more than Engkand, reminds me of Korkadis on a bad day. Runs like a train and then drops the ball or gets pushed backwards. He's OK on his day and I'd keep him but he's a utility player for me.
Annekin is not a prop and never will be, he's simply to small - again a utility players.

| I can just about and I say just Vasty, see what you mean regarding vultures, but I know to at least three players that was on HKRs shopping list last year but thank god it never happened so I don't think they would have felt much sympathy for us.
