Quote: Trinity Till Death "It's just bravado from Green who knows the Bulls won't get within 6 points of us or another team. He'll wait 4-6 weeks by which the league will confirm Bradford's relegation and also that they can't get within the 6 deducted points. Then Green will discontinue the case but in doing so has sent a message to the RFL that he isn't afraid to take them on.'"

At the same time look like the biggest Delbert in the game. I'll be the first to laugh in his arrogant face!

Quote: el red "As someone from the outside looking in my thoughts are that the Bulls have every right to seek action in the high court if correct procedures have not been followed. It may not suit the rest of us but they have rights under law.

In previous seasons where points have been deducted there has been no relegation so the worst that could happen is you miss out on the top eight. Do you really think other clubs would have just meekly accepted points deductions if there was a chance they may get relegated, I don't.

The other issue here is the Sky money, the rest of Super League was happy to take the Bulls cut and effectively put them points in arrears even before the season started. So before the points deduction they were not on a level playing field to every other team, remember it was the Bulls previous (discredited) board that accepted that scenario, not the new board and owners.

The easiest way out for everybody is to put back the structural changes by one season. A lot of people were against the changes anyway and it was pretty much forced through by the RFL, and only by some clubs refusing to vote (the reasons for that are very murky and have never been disclosed).

The whole thing is a mess and I put a massive part of that blame at the RFL's door. Everyone says they are not fit to run the game, especially some club owners so why is everyone quick to defend them.'"

You seem to have a lot of thoughts on things on various boards.
Sometimes even contradicting yourself.
I think you're looking from the outside somewhere near Bradford on this one.

You say that putting the new structures back by 1 season is "the easiest way out" but it would certainly put the brakes on for the likes of Fev, Halifax etc.
By going into admin they will certainly have expected a points deduction and as many people have said (especially on this forum), they had a choice.
Either protect an overpaid squad (with all the associated risks) or, cut costs heavily (again with the associated risks)

With regard to what the previous board accepted.
The clear fact is that rightly or wrongly they did accept the previous sanctions and the new owner came in clearly knowing what the possibilities were.
If he didn't know, he has certainly received some poor advice.

It's time to move on and in Salford's or Wakefield's position, be very grateful that it was Bradford and not ourselves that went pop.

as I've said before there's another twist in the tale

even if the high court changes the decision does this give them the right to force the RFL to give the Bulls back the points

it sickens me to see this great game of ours turn into a laughing stock they should be ashamed of what they are doing

The points deduction was for the second administration while the halving of the sky money was for the first administration.
These were two separate insolvency events

Could have trimmed the squad and lived within their means. Instead ploughed on regardless.

Bradford talk a lot about the guy in admin not being same guy as being punished but at the end of the day it's same ground, same team, same shirts, same fans.
It's the same......

Nowhere near Bradford. I like discussion with decent fans like yourself, it makes a change from some of the childish stuff you see on the boards.

My team are playing tonight BTW.

Nope not all of us. Some have but I'm with throwing everything at this case. At end of season I want to know we went down because we weren't good enough. If you want to survive because of a point decision good luck to you.

As for anything else, I faintly remember another club signing up loads of players, only to not be able to pay them, I also remember the same club building a great big hospitality stand only to not pay for it, and then finally secure a super league franchise on the promise of building a brand new stadium...only they didn't in the end but they still got to stay in super league???

Anyone remember who they were???

An honest question to that did we not take points deduction when the above happened?

As a Bulls supporter I would say that the way we are playing means we don't deserve to stay in the League. But I welcome the legal battle if it means a few heads at Red Hall roll as well. Their whole role in this issue from the initial under the counter loan for the lease of the ground to the promise of no points deduction if we went into admin to get rid of OK has been deplorable.
