| As long as we can afford it I think if WTW sign Poore and Masoe and they are fit & on form then we will have a very strong pack for next season that will be able to mix it up with the top 6 teams as we have an accomplished back line and an outstanding play-maker in Tim Smith. We should also be confident about a good run in the cup.

| Masoe will find a NRL club I reckon, he's got all the tools to be a great impact prop. Trouble is at the moment he isn't fit enough to warrant a place in 1st grade NRL and I was reading that even at Newtown he's hardly pulling up any trees & putting many minutes in, meant to be a bit lazy as well.

Not so sure from the very good reports in Aus that I've read on web over last month or so. May be fitness may be his issue but playing with his all time favourite player according to a Roosters interview with him (Lauitiiti) on a 3 year deal may be what he needs to ensure consistency & be mentored by Lauitiiti for next 2 years.3 Sydney based clubs are after him apparently but a lack of information is good news for Wakefield. He is only 23 yrs old, runs over opposition players and has fantastic leg speed for a man as big & heavy as him. Seen him catch a winger & throw him into touch as well as smash opposition props ......

| Since his name was mentioned I've been reading the Roosters forum and also read some comments from those that have watched him at the Jets this season and what I typed above was the general feeling I got. Apart from that it's pretty well known apparently that he's not fit enough and is only plays 20 minutes or so a match, maybe why the Roosters weren't too bothered, along with their salary cap problems
Tbf some of the comments I read were well before the playoffs started but it does sound like he played well for them in the finals, still making meters and scoring the odd try should be a given for a guy that size and talent.
I think it's too easy to look at his utube highlights and believe the hype, got to look into why he isn't playing for the Roosters or getting snapped up by other NRL clubs and also exactly what he'd bring to our side if he came over. He certainly does looks the part but we've been here before, still he's only 23 and has got an absolute ton of potential.

| our forward success last year was built on graft and minutes on the park, a wrecking ball would add something different but would also take something away.
Poore sounds like he will (if fit) fill in, and add what perhaps RA thought Southern (admittedly a back rower) might have added to the front row; time will tell.

Sounds like Feka to me. Great if that is what you need, but leaves holes in defense.
I'd rather stick with our pack if that is the case.

| Hes 23 and his fitness can be improved, but 10-15 minutes each half would be a great impact and would cause some damage.

Fitness & Masoe's game can be worked on by a quality coach like Agar. Talent like that cannot be created and he is still only 23 years old. With fitness improved I'd think we'd be looking at 20-25 mins per half as an impact prop.
As R.A. has said we need real grunt up front and with a front row of Poore, Aiton & Amor with a bench of Raleigh, Masoe, Wilkes we'd consistently be a pack to be reckoned with & teams wouldn't get a roll on against us like they did sometimes last season.
Good back up with James who could hopefully learn a thing or two off Masoe & Poore or will he be let go if we get Masoe?

(Moses game can be worked on by a quality coach!!!) Moses has had nothing but High Quality Coaches around him since he was young and they still haven't been able to get that lazy - soft attitude out of him, and all of them thought the same... i can get it out of him. He is a shy soft samoan mummy's boy, which isn't bad as long as you aren't playing league.

But then again he has also been able to part the Red Sea, so he must have something that other SL players haven't!!!

| Quote: asmadasa "c020.gif Have you played NRL I think not.
Have you? Yes he was picked for the Kiwi Squad - but he wasn't picked to play. Was he in the 2011 or 12 squad? I don't mean this comment as disrespectful! Knowing Mose as long as we have! If mummy's boy upsets you what's another way of saying it.... Teddy Bear. Mose has the ability hence why he has been around for awhile. He will do well for awhile but will convert back. If contracted i do wish him well, as with any young player. But what worries me is the culture here is very different from NZ and island culture, and he will rely heavily on Ali and Isaac (Pacific Islander brothers) for support. With no family he will do it hard.
Ben Matulino and Mose have played together from school days and Mose was picked for bigger and better things - it hasn't happened, and the only difference between them is belief in themselves. Great coaches and clubs have been there for him. NRL clubs and SL clubs are different. The big concern is the public - look what happened to IJ so much expected (IJ is a half not a standoff).
Not enough time given before getting trashed by joe public. And if they don't get picked to play they sit on the sidelines - not like NRL were they play in a quality comp NSW Cup where they can work on their game.

| Maybe taking Mose out of his comfort zone to Wakey will bring out that belief. Sometimes the hard path works wonders for players.
It's a risk that the coaching team will weigh up. If they believe he can add something then they get my backing.
We'll have to watch this space to see if he comes to the trin.
