Correct my friend.
If this stadium project gets the go ahead in 2012/13, will there be a team still around to play in it??

| As someone who doesn't really understand the whole planning process does last nights news put our franchise bid in a stronger position or not, also does it make our bid stronger than cas's.I realise we will probably be playing in barnsley but if the stadium is looking even more likely is this better than a stadium that cas are still building as we will already be in a sl standard stadium in barnsley whereas the jungle is not of standard (i think)or is it just wishful thinking that we may still have an outside chance of being in sl after this season? Also could the news attract investors who were put off before?

The worry if that happens, is that the developer wouldn't need to use WTWC and the stadium as a trojan horse in order to get planning through and could save themselves millions (watch your backs)

| I must admit, these new decisions are clouding the already very murky waters for mine.

If it prompts the SoS to act quicker in respect to our inquiry it helps, if it doesnt and we are still awaiting the result then we are still in the same boat i think.
Cas' would be stupid not to have a plan regards playing in a SL stadium, just for the additional points/marks it would give them for their franchise application if GH has not moved on.
Based on our previous app, if NM is moving on or we are at either Oakwell or Keepmoat with off field improvements i find it hard to see how our franchise can be worse than last time.

I agree that our bid would be stronger than last time but if the RFL dont want us in then they wont, however the way i see it unless Cas managed to get their stadium built extremely quickly then there is no way that their application can be better than ours is so they would have to get rid of us both.

| Naievely asking again sorry chaps but if the NM plans have been changed, slightly moved, expanded or whatever won't further planning permission be required?
Re: SL stadium, bids due April Oakwell not been announced yet and will be no guarantee on NM still and how long Oakwell required / available for? Can you see them accepted that (when they need to boot one) especially after broken promises from last bid? Wakey club or not?

Where's the logic in this? Loopholes aren't going to do you any favours, and your financial difficulties right now would surely leave a huge black mark?

Re
The plans havent changed, just the make up of the land usage which now clearly makes Newmarket the prefered site to comply with the governments own requirements, made to Wakefield council planning dept, for their development plan.
We've kind of worked them into a corner, where if they are arguing, they are arguing against themselves, and they will have to come up with a more suitable site to turn it (Newmarke) down.

Re
Oakwell or whereever the super league standard stadium is will be confirmed and included in our application and they are just ironing out the final details as far as i am aware. It will be a tenancy agreement much the same as most of the teams in super league such as Wigan and Hull have with their ground owners so with the SL standard stadium we will be in a good posistion regarding our application.

I agree, our finances would put a black mark next to us but if we do stay solvent and are playing in an SL standard stadium then i feel that we have a better application than Salford, Cas and Crusaders.

I've never even thought of this, but that is very worrying. I think we all know our stadium was a sweetener for the units. Yorkcourt can just wait till 2012 and build all their units without needing to spend 20 million on our stadium! I wouldn't be suprised now if they withdraw the current planning application and sit and wait for the LDF to be approved.
I hope I am wrong, but I've got a very bad feeling about this now.

Surely not, after all entering administration seems to be OK with the RFL/Super League now. They have removed that proviso from the application process I believe (only way they could keep Crusaders!!)
And yes, before everyone replies I know there are different rules for clubs they do want and ones they don't
