Do you know how much they pay teachers?? Not enough after the uni debt I can tell you!
I await a flood of Alan Partridge style puns in return here.
Sorry guys I can't stretch to 12,000 jars per game- because we're going to sell out every game from day 1 at NM!!!

After all they've done they shouldn't have to pay in to NM for life. Knowing "die hards" like them they'd still pay on the door to be putting money in the coffers.
Well we're all but an hour from the half way point.
As the old saying goes "Keep calm and carry on"

Hmmm very true well i suppose we will all have to get them a jar at some point when we move in to NM as a token of thanks for all their hard work and perseverance throughout this period we could not have done it without them this also goes for IA and everyone involved hmmmmm this could get expensive

no problems downing a jar or too done in moderation
what need to is bring Belle Vue / Hearwell stadium to Newmarket in a walk when we play our first game there,
to me Belle Vue is my home and to break away will leave some happy and sad memories hard to take but progress for the club
whats the motto
together we are stronger

| Like that idea very much.
A symbolic march from the old home to the new.
Meet at BV 3 hours before KO and march to NM!!
Invite local politician, old players & make a real ceremony of it. Headed by Ted Richardson, Colin Mackie, Sir Rodney Walker and TRB!
Like the idea very much.

I know it's been done to death, but Wakefield are willing to share a stadium, as the Community Trust are willing to let anyone who wants to play there do so. The only thing that Wakey said was that they weren't prepared to play in Castleford, in the ground that is being developed by Castleford. That would not have led to any security for Wakefield, as the club would have either withered and died, or merged. If Headingley was thought to be unsuitable (and the irony of the stadium criteria is that soon the ground of one of the top clubs will be the oldest), would you agree to play at Valley Parade along with Bradford as a permanent move? I know the distance is greater, but the principle is the same. You wouldn't, because it is in Bradford.'"
True, I wouldn't fancy dragging my all the way to Valley Parade, but I also have the same feelings about driving to IKEA with the wife! If a stadium was built, say Pudsey, then I'd have no problem sharing a stadium with anybody. I suspect that whilst the pitch is being relaid and the Southstand is rebuilt, we will be playing our first few home games at either Elland Road or Hunslet.
It's Leeds Rhinos I support, not Headingley per se. It's not the state of the art toilets, rows of shiny plastic seats , or even "the best executive balcony in SL" that floats my boat. I go to watch the guys who have the ability, and bottle to pull on my Club's colours and get out on a Rugby League pitch.
I support a team, not a bloody postcode.

So you wouldn't want to go to a rivals back yard to watch your team? Good, you can see why Trinity fans weren't happy to watch their club in Castleford.

Thats because Pudsey is inbetween leeds and bradford, if you had to play out of a stadium based in bradford it would be a different story. The community stadium at Newmarket is in the middle of the WMDC halfway between Wakefield City and cas and open to anyone who wants to use it. Cas fans will not want to play there because it's classed as Wakefield whilst we wouldn't want to be based at cas because it would be the end of the club its all about identity. Normanton would have been a good place for a shared stadium but thats gone now and we've agreed to play at the community stadium and I hope everything gets the go ahead and Trinity can move on and be successful again.

I have already posted this information on Southstander.com but as you almost spend as much time on this board as me now and are following this thread...
Uncle Garry has told me that there is no current intention to play at Elland Road at the start of 2012 season when I specifically quizzed him about the programme for the new South Stand, being generally interested in these things. The pitch is to have a full deep relay and new drainage system put in, (it's first since 1928!!!) in August next year. Leeds have asked the RFL to send them away in the gap between the semi and final of the CC and also the week before the semi or after the final. This ensures that we will have a full 4/5 week period to do the pitch work irrespective of whether Leeds are still in the CC or not. The refurbishment work to the Western Terrance (sorry guys, still no roof!) is either under way or due to start soon. This will all be done before the start of the 2011 season and will include a new full video screen/scoreboard so Sky will not need to bring their own screen.
The South Stand is going to come down as soon as the Rhinos have played their last home game of 2011 season (of course that is uncertain because of the play-offs) and Gary said that they will literally start the demolition work the following morning. The new South Stand is planned to be ready in time for the start of the 2012 season but Gary thinks they will ask the RFL to send Leeds away for the first three games of the season just in case. It is very tight programme but if they plan well and the weather is kind it will be doable. If something goes wrong then he might have to use Elland Road but that is only and emergency contingency plan.
