Quote: Outwood Vic "Tongue in cheek really Rob.....Think you and Stanningley are the only teams unbeaten, and in this group that is some achievment so well done pal. We aim to rectify that when we meet
he`s not worn his scrum cap so far this season but suffice to say he will be wearing it tomorrow,i think he`s a bit nervous but he usually does something a bit special when the pressure is on.

your game will be interesting, you deffo have the edge in the pack but eastmoor are probably a bit quicker on the edges than you, they tend to play around teams with a good deal of sucess although there tackling out wide isnt the best. icon_wink.gif

icon_biggrin.gif stanley rangers under 12s have now got a game on, a friendly against hunslet parkside but just what we need for the run up to cup game the week after, tough encounter but should test them as we lost 50 - 6 away to them last time so room for improvement

castleford panthers and stanningley under 10s went head to head with 100% records on the line and in a bruising game it finished

cas panthers 16 stanningley 10

both teams tackled like demons in has hard a game has you will ever see at u10s level although it never boiled over several players were left battered and bruised.

at time half staninngley lead 4-6 thanks to a try from a kick after the panthers had scored on the first set of the game,in the second half the panthers scored first with the try of the game after it went through 5 pairs of hands.a unconverted try from stanningley levelled the scores at 10-10 and all looked set for a draw until a big hit forced a lose ball which the panthers picked up to score the match winner.

a great advert for u10s rugby well done to both teams.

well the hunslet parkside machine keeps rolling on, stanley 12s didn't manage to break their defense and we ended up with another hefty score against us, the difference between the the two leagues was evident today but I did notice that we managed to string so good sets together, next week we have a trip to Selby warriors in the barla cup

My little one played with the big boys today. Hyper extended knee and some cracked ribs icon_sad.gif but he did score on his debut for the first team.

eastmore came to stanley and did what no other team as done for well over a year and won at ferry lane . seen lads play a lot better and me thinks that the lads must now group together and play as one unit and not take the world on by themselves as in this game you can pass. tbf if we had kicked more than a goal then we would of won but eastmore had more desire on the day

Finally another fixture ! Only one week though , don't know why the powere that be can't just do 4 at a time , would make it easier all round I would of thought .
Crigg u 10's won again Saturday , 32-20 . Attack was good but we were defensively poor ( but my lad scored his 1st try since the u8's , so much joy in our house - been re-lived about 200 times ! icon_biggrin.gif)

its a bit of a nightmare,do they not realise that us poor coaches do have a life outside of rugby.it would be nice to know a few weeks in advance where you are going to be playing.

i go to london in a fortnights time to watch nz v aus at the stoop and half the team are going too, in the past there has been no fixture first weekend of half term and ill be vexed if im changing my plans because somebody cannot be bothered to do a few fixtures.

rant over.

exactly - stupid system at our place too with kitchen rota's etc. to organise . Want to take my son to eng v aus at Wigan , we'll have to rush off straight after he's played , but if he's away at heworth there's not much point .

cas panthers u10s travelled to drighlington this morning.the full time score finished

drighlington 4 cas panthers 30

a great defencive effort from the cas side although it was a small pitch to what we are used to defending on,drig havent really progressed from last year and have far too many players playing above what they should be which is a shame cos they would be good players at the right age group.
