| Quote Khlav Kalash="Khlav Kalash"Average points scored with Lino in the halves 6.2
Average without 23.75.
Perhaps too simplistic but still it's quite a variation.'"
Or to put it another way, we have scored more points in the 4 games where he didn't feature compared to the 15 he has.
95 vs 93.

| He had a poor game but we set him up that way.
Just back from injury
We take his half back partner away after 14 minutes, hooker after 28 and give him a beaten pack with the opposition hitting us with great line speed and players who can't catch the ball.
It's never just one player.

It doesn't really matter if that stat is causation or correlation, the question is why bring him back given what had happened in the games without him and after last week's high?
Conversely it never is one player Poptart is right, but again why bring him back given the bare facts you have just pointed out?
We'd clearly have got thumped either way, but would we have scored more points

| Quote Trin e ti="Trin e ti"Sorry but think people are blinkered if they blame tonight's performance just on lino Huddersfield have a good team compared to ours and showed tonight. They were younger fitter and a yard quicker all round. I cannot fault our efforts, especially amount of possession Huddersfield had for most of the game. We are too slow in a lot of areas i.e both centres, back row . Wa lot to make up but wouldn't surprise me if Huddersfield don't go near making the play offs.'"
I dont think hes been judged solely on tonight. How mamy games in 3 seasons has he actually taken a game by the scruff of the neck, and shown what hes capable of.
Yes, we are really slow, and ageing, and the trend of buying ageing players need to stop. At the moment, with a changing of the guard, it doesnt seem to be changing.
We have too many players in the squad that are either at the end if their careers, or very young and inexperienced, with very few around their peak.

| i think we just stop wasting money on overseas players { apart from Fifita). The fact is we cannot afford regular NRL players so we end up with NRL has beens ( proctor ) or second rate players who cannot get a place in an NRL team ( too many to mention ). I know we have occasionally struck lucky ( Fifita ) but we should be competing for the best young British players especially local lads. I know that competing with the top teams is difficult when you are at the bottom but if we didnt waste money on overseas dross we could offer more plus they are more likely to get regular first team rugby than at other teams.

| Did lino have a game before returning? This was never an easy fixture, to change a half back pairing that did well against wigan just showed why we need a quality coach or assistant this isn't acadamey or schoarship rugby

Not sure why just back from injury is relevant he should be fit plus its not like we've missed him just another poor decision from the coaching staff

| Has anyone stopped to think if Whitbread had been fit then applegarth may not have changed the side from last week. But once he wasn't he had no other options than to play lino and at a guess so would have the majority of fans.

| Indeed.
Whitbread out meant we had to bring in a forward. There is no natural 13 to bring in unless you move Pitts and we've no second row to bring in for him.
So moving Kay back, where he was so effective before probably seemed like a good idea when you have a scrum half available.
I thought Lino was poor but it's easy with hindsight to say that was a poor decision.
He was pushed again into playing behind a beaten pack, his very effective half back off the field and a hooker who was influential in the previous wins off the field.
Some of the passes from acting half back were awful. Battye and Lineham both dropped the ball on first tackle which led to tries. Knock ons from high balls from both wingers. Proctor low work rate again.
Like I said I was disappointed with Lino, and our attack was slower because of him but he didn't lose us that game.
Huddersfield quality play in the backs and very good line speed in defense was the main difference. To be honest, they could have scored more.

Yet battye played well at loose forward as an extra prop, as did kaye we could have just brought another prop in and left well alone.
Lino after an initial flurry 3 years ago has been very poor it’s his one consistent trait , poor when fit, poor behind a pack that’s been going forward , picked for his goal, kicking, yet hasn’t been taking kicks I could go on but sadly on a 3 year deal we are stuck with his bad attitude and poor performances
