You really think a new stand is going to help us compete? It will still be the same porr quality team just playing in slightly better surroundings. Just because we might end up with a shiny new part of a stadium does not mean that the on the field product will improve.

The prime example of this is Arsenal (Yes I know its a different sport but hear. From the mid 90's to the mid 00's they were one of the best teams around. Regular trophy winners always finished in the top 3, a few league titles. They moved from Highbury to the Emirates with the promise to the fans that this would allow them to compete at the Top Table of World Football for years to come as it would generate more income and so on. Guess what the funding of the stadium was a huge financial Burdon that they are yet to really recover from and since their move they were unable to compete at the top financially and on the field and have not won a league since.

If we did go down(which we won’t) look on the positive side. We will have a better chance to get to a cup final allbeit an 1895 one………..! Knowing our luck it will be held at headingley!

Neither has Tottenham but you don't see them both lingering at the bottom, we have to start somewhere and where else than improvements to the stadium

We have been informed on many occasions that the money is tight hence our somewhat lacklustre signings. The obvious problem is that we are still to start servicing the stadium loan which will further impact our finances. If we are relegated and we have to start paying the loan on a much reduced income stream it does not bode well for our future and the chance that the Director loans will ever be recoverable. It is something for those in charge to think about.

No but sometimes it needs repeating for those who are in denial and do not want to accept the obvious outcome from relegation.

Saw similar stuff kicked about when Trinity were relegated from the old first division - I forget when!
We went through some seasons where I saw the worst rugby I've ever seen played BUT we DID come back up so why do these posters say 'we'll never come back up'! How the hell do you know?! stop being doom and gloom merchants! we may go down but I'll still be there supporting them - will you?!

We have no money now so how do you think our finances will be once we start to service the stadium loan and we are in the championship. We did come back but it took us several years to rebuild the team. I know because like many I supported the team during this period.

Correct! I knew all along!

When we missed the cut for super league we were left without a squad. I think Belly, Billy Conway & JT stayed around for a while, but the rest were youngsters & cast offs we were able to pick up. It took time to put together a decent squad.
