Does anybody else think that Golden Point is a terrible idea? What's wrong with a hard fought draw?

I thought Wigan won it right on the final whistle, 80 mins.

They won with about 30 seconds to spare within the 80 minutes.

Whoops! Assumed from the score it’d gone to Golden Point.

Well I said the only thing that let CC down was that Lady Luck deserted him.

Toulouse winning would have been a double blow after Friday and in a way a worse one morale wise. It’s one thing when things go wrong and it’s your fault but it’s far harder when outside forces conspire, see CC last few seasons.

Also it’s a blessing, maybe our lads now realise that SL has changed and nobody and I mean nobody runs out anymore expecting to lose a game.

We might even see the team play from minute one on Friday and actually give us 89 minutes.

You can not put 3 year of been in danger of been relegated to lady luck If was down to spending money on injury prone players .One of the players he brought in this season did not play for is last club for the last 8 plus matches ,had a full of season to get fit and lasted 65 plus minutes .We are now going in to round 5 and there is no signs of him coming back .The other two players he as brought in to strengthen the team ,Chester 's words not mine are out injured .We are not a club that can afford to have main signings playing 10 matches a season Chester was here 2 seasons too long

I agree about Gaskell but the other injuries aren't from being injury prone.

He keeps saying this I assume in the hope that everyone will agree as he’s peddled it so often.

Hood, Whitbread and Lineham have never ever been injury prone so he’s totally wrong on that one. Hall is too young.

Gaskell has had a lot of injuries but he’s still played 200 games!

I think it’s a case of if you say it often enough it will be true, but it isn’t.

Just watched the highlights and surprised (not) that two high ball challenges on the Wigan winger similar to the one Murphy effected against Leeds were deemed play on yet penalised against us. Which ref was wrong?

The commentators at the time said it was harsh on Murphy and a harsh penalty suggesting it wasn’t. I don’t think it was a penalty as Murphy was challenging for a high ball.
