It didn’t used to ,it was a family day out on a Sunday for away supporters ,you wonder why the game is on its Harris . Used to see boat loads of buses parked up on sugar lane with away fans not so long ago ,now your lucky to see one or two . There’s me thinking RL was into the family entertainment business ,shows how much I know or the people running the sport for that matter .

It's all about the corporate stuff these days, which is massively better on a Friday evening (after work) than trying to persuade people to give up their Sunday afternoon.
It's no coincidence that there is us and Cas ? who still play home games on a Sunday.
Also, playing regular Fridays is less disruptive when games are moved for the TV..

It doesn't matter what day you play Monday to Friday it's just as busy either way at that time, A lot of clubs prefer Fridays for they're corporate side and seemingly prefer that to relying on away fans turning up, I think Wakefield's preference is normally Sunday unless the Sky scheduling dictate differently, the lack of buses on Sugar Lane nowadays is unfortunately down to the lack of interest in the game full stop, difficult to judge because of Covid 19 but prior to the last season and a half tell me one club with an increase in attendances, good luck.
