Not that it matters, as a loan player he is at this moment, not our player anyway and not on our books so not on our quota. Unless we did sign him but I don't recall it.

I believe it all stemmed back to when Widnes went bust because he was registered with them he was granted permission to move back to Halifax and not count on their quota. This is why he was only loaned to us because that condition remained in place whilst he remained a Halifax player.

That makes sense.

Mullally was the business in 2015 but he’s slipped since then. A very good player who doesn’t take the game seriously enough for me.

Springer however I like. He’s a bit rough around the edges and is not subtle but he’s brave and has an impact. Biggest issue is ball retention, needs to improve. Could be a really useful signing so long as his attitude is right.

Sadly neither are Eddie Battye, that’s the one I want. If nothing else he’s the kick up the backside Fifita needs.

How about his brother Gadwin? Wasn't he at Toronto?

It`s a tough market to be in at the moment, especially with the likes of KR having so much cap space and other clubs like Hudds looking to make substantial changes in the off season.

Hopefully we can find a couple of gems in the front row, I know it`s been discussed to death but a great place to start would be looking at Battye.

Hope it's not Springer.
