When the team are on the front foot like against HKR it gives max so much more time to make judgements at the back and his chiming into the line to create the overlap and Those cut out passes to the wing were first class .Both Crowther and batchelor had great games as well and are looking more like integral parts of our first team the more game time they get .Walker looks like he has a bright future as well and didn’t look out of place in the team ,all boding well for the future

My point was that at the minute it's important to have him in that position regardless of any other alternatives. Can't think of any other player at the minute who we would miss as much as there are acceptable alternatives.

Talking of full backs, I seem to remember Don Metcalfe he wasn't too shabby either, and what a sidestep that man had, but like the rest of them he's gone unfortunately which just leaves Max whose still here and personally I don't think it's fair comment to compare him with past heroes.
