Arona is not worth paying overs to keep in my opinion.
think he has been pretty ordinary these last couple of matches to be honest- maybe he has already been told we are not paying him what he thinks he is worth.

From his interview today suggests as if the problem might be he's the only quota player ooc. Maybe the club are seeing what's available overseas wise before deciding on using last spot on T

I think Arona had his best season with us last year and was my man of the season. This season he has not really stood out for me however he does have a very good work ethic.

I'd be sad to seeing him go, however not having insight to the negotiations I don't know what % of our budget they are negotiating on to keep him (unless it is a quota spot issue).

It's a tough call on coach and chairman, and one I'm glad I'm not having to make that call.

I like Arona, and is one of the first players in the team sheet for me. Having said that, I also don't think has reached his best form this year.

I do think Jordy us more than capable of filling his boots.

If Arona does go, that will free up a spot, and then you look at the other players.

If Finn ends up going too, then regardless of how Miller and Hampshire pan out, we will probably be looking for another half, to provide cover and competition. That is of course, unless Ackroyd is ready to step up, and be given game time.

Although Trent Hodkinson is a good player, with his dodgy knees, is it a gamble we are willing or can afford to make. Maybe there are younger and fitter halves around that would be a better fit for us.

Been a great player and hard working every time I have seen him play yet you would rather chance your arm bringing in some other second rate Aussie! Great advert for any player to come to Wakefield.. I am sure he will find a club that will appreciate a player that gives what he gives. A top coach will pick him up im sure, might be on his way to Cas.

After tonight's game and the players that started, I believe apart from Hampshire, they are all contracted for next season, maybe trying to work something out with Hampshire, whilst seeing how the team plays with Arona on the bench?

Thought Arona was out of contract.
