Quote Slugger McBatt="Slugger McBatt"I'd go for the biggest bench possible, not with Hampshire, and just try and wear a team down that hasn't played decent opposition for more than a year. They'll be running on adrenalin of the top flight return and a noisy crowd. Knock it out of them. Isn't the phrase that you can win behind a beaten pack? So beat their pack.'"
I get what you're saying and there's an argument for that but surely with the size we already have in Fifita, Pauli, England and say, Hirst. That's 4 Props bigger than anything Hull KR have got. Add to that probably Ashurst, Horo, Arona, and Kirmond, that is an absolute huge pack. I bet most of the Hull KR pack won't have come up against a side with that many KG's in the pack before. Saying that size isn't the be all and end all, it has to come with RL smarts and I think our pack as got that.
Having Hampshire come off the bench might provide that spark running against tired forward in the second half that could prove the difference, a bit like we did with Miller at times last year.
Just looking at the sizes of those 4 Props, I wonder if they're the biggest set of Prop forwards ever assembled in SL. I may be wrong but I can't think of any sides that have had 4 all that big.
