| Have not seen any Grix confirmation and Wood denied by MC on twitter, where is all this coming from?

| What does a hooker do these days?
Sio has proved better value at loose.
Better to sign an established half and move Finn to interchange hooker.
If not Sam Williams, with all the talk of Albert Kelly, I'd take Blair at KR.

| Yes, I like Blair too but mainly for his versatility.
Unfortunately he is is heading back to Aus.
Williams all day for me. Seems to tick all the boxes.
No offenve to Finn but for me the extra half back has to be SL ready and better making Finn back up to all pivot roles.
GOB would cover both half and full back.
Potentially Miller, Williams and GOB could all play. All 6ft and can cover several positions as well as HB.

What a relief, did he deny Grix as well by any chance. God knows where the rumors even get started. At a guess with those 2, probably Hudds fans because they want rid.

Good call. There's going to be a bit of a mad scramble around some of the players that get relegated, more so depending which team it is. I wonder if anyone of them have teams lined up in SL already if they do go down. Knowing Agents they will.

| Was on one of the rugby league sites a couple of days ago (don't know exactly which one) but looking today it seems it has been removed.

| It's so easy for the keyboard coaches to put together a squad with no idea on budget etc....what's important is steadily trying improve our squad as a whole, getting the balance right while sticking within the tight budget....we've all had a go at dream teams right? Start off with a big amount of money...sign 4 or 5 top players then you're left scraping around the cheap players to complete you squad within the budget...why should it be any different in real life?
Not sure if Grix and Wood are signing? Maybe there's more in the Grix one at present...what you have to look at though is who they are replacing who has left from last seasons squad...as I see it so far Grix in place of Tansey as cover in the backline...is that an improvement? Yes, I think it is...worked with Kear before knows the club and brings experience which could be an asset even if it's only on the training field...
Wood if we were to sign him would be extra cover for 9...replacing Howarth...is that an improvement? Again, yes I think it is...he also knows the club and can also play in the halves...
It's not quite Josh Hodgson or Cameron Smith but Rome wasn't built in a day!

| Grix has definitely signed from what I'm told but heard nothing re Wood. Grix could be a good squad filler as FB slot now covered but hope it's not true re Wood.

| Don't know if this or Grix is true but I'd be happy with both.
I'm especially convinced when I see the normal touchline internationals arrive pouring their scorn on said players.
The Coach and his team select the players they need and the club can afford - they then live or die by those decisions which to me signifies that they are not in the market for players who won't do s job for them - unless of course the forum experts consider them insane or less qualified and knowledgeable than themselves or working for SL to destroy us from within.
For heavens sake drop your pathetic ego's, accept what the coaching staff are attempting to so under very difficult circumstances and back them and the players they select even if you don't especially rate them. I don't mind people expressing genuine concerns but this constant character assassination is beyond tiresome.
I hate to say this but there is one thing I actually admire about Cas fans and in my book it puts them way above the moaners on here and it's that the vast majority of them support their players from day one and stay loyal to the team, even after two relegations - almost the exact opposite of Trinity fans.
It's called supporting your team, something I and a few others seem to be more and more in a minority.
I await the scorn for daring to be positive.

Well we might as well shut down the down the forum if you can't give your opinion on players who might be signed, takes the fun away. By the way aren't you doing a bit of keyboard coaching, there's no harm in it. Although I don't mind Grix if he signed, how do you know Grix is in place of Tansey, could be a replacement for Hall, which imo wouldn't be an improvement imo.
I think most fans know we have to build steadily, within budget and improve our squad year on year but as CC said we're trying to go for quality rather than quantity.

| Caton-Brown and Grix in place of Hall and Tansey? Nice mixture coming in and an improvement I'd say?
