I find it frustrating that the only option, if Webbo doesn't resign, is to sack him and pay him shed loads of money - for what? Failing?

We can all play at being the coach, with our various team selections, many of you do, but to me the makeup of the squad is not based on anything other than past reputations right now.

As for the structures, just look how Leigh attacked, dummy runners all over the shop, us, just a line across the park. Defensively they pushed up as a unit, us, just stood waiting for them.

Now, I don’t to profess to be a coach, but I’ve played & watched enough matches to say Webster doesn’t cut it.

It would seem that 99% of people on here pretty much despise Webster, and given the results/performances it's hardly surprising. I do find it a bit comical though as to what people expect a coach to say before a match, at half time and full time? People saying, what on Earth did he say at half time yesterday.....well i'm pretty sure it wasn't along the lines of, Danny you go and have a slappy handbag session, get binned, give a penalty away. Scruton, go and spoil your first half display by tackling everybody round the head and give them more ball and field position, big Ali you do the same, ohh and you can do the same Miller if you like....?!

I don't know just how accurate the thing is where on tv they ask 'what was said in the dressing room at half time?' I don't know whether it's a gimmick, or whether Bill Arthur, Damian Johnson as it was yesterday are actually allowed in there? I can't remember word for word what he exactly said, but it went along the lines of.....James Webster told his players that Leigh would come back at us hard, and we had to be ready for that etc, etc. I agree, there's just no 'bond' between Webster and the players, probably a lack of respect, no confidence in each other etc, but I think you have to feel slightly sorry for the guy because when he has tried to take some positives form those heavy defeats, like against Huddersfield saying we started well, he got slammed, yet before the Leigh match he got slammed for his negative comments, and saying they are probably a better team than we are, well they are as proved on grass. Do you want him to be honest, or full of bull s**t?! Sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I have to say well done to Leigh, I do like the style in which you play the game, we'll do you a swap, Webster for Rowley, sounds good to me......

Its not disgusting, but it speaks volumes about Webbo what he is saying about our playing roster - one that he has had an input on.

For a man who has been with us for nearly 4 years he seems strangely surprised by our lack of funds, yet this is Wakefield and it has always been the case, to a greater or lesser degree.

I do have sympathy with the idea of someone losing their job, but I can tell you I wouldn't get 2 years salary if I was fired for not being up to the task I was employed for. In that respect I hope that sense can be reached and a settlement agreed - if we are going down that road, but if he's hanging on for the big pay-day - stuff him - my club is bigger than him and its success and survival need to be given every possible chance and, IMO, that is with a fresh face and fresh ideas from someone who can galvanise the playing stock we have into a decent fighting unit.

We are Wakefield. We are a poor relation in SL, but we have pride in never having finished bottom, before now, and never having been relegated from SL. Both of these are inevitable as we stand, but one of them we can avoid if the right actions are taken.

This isn't about Mr Webster or his family, its about the Community of Wakefield and whether we can re-establish pride in our club!

But the problem is we all know there is so much going on behind the scenes that sacking him is not going to make all the problems go away is it? It could well be the first step, but there are no guarantees bringing someone else in will work, especially in the short term. Salford brought in Tim Sheens recently and they went the same way as us in the cup against the same opposition, and there's supposedly a happy healthy club under Mr Koukash......

The only that bothers me is 'if' he goes, what price Gilmour landing a 2 or 3yr deal to take over? Now that's typical Wakefield

I'm sure none of you are that bothered, but i'm neither slagging Webster or trying to defend him, just trying to be as fair and as rounded with my comments as I can be, I do now think it would be best for all concerned if he left, for him and the club. I personally would like to see Noble come in, but doubt it will happen.

It probably wont make a blind bit of difference, but continuing down this path is a sure fire capitulation, surely anything is better than what we have right now?

Have watched Wakey over 50 years. I am a season ticket holder, but will not go to widnes game and not watch Magic Weekend at all. This is down to a negative coach and a captain getting sin binned, giving Leigh's faster and more skill full half backs the room to do damage. In a few of Leigh's games, there appears to be sendings off or sin bins. Is this clever coaching to get more room for their half backs I wonder?
