I hope not but if you are then you've plummeted to new depths of cretinous ignorance.'"
Type 1 diabetis is a serious matter. All I am saying he was lucky to get players player from what I saw on the pitch he had 3 very good games and many average ones I know he can do better and Nick himself knows he can. ITs you whos twisted the argument saying he goes off to do this. So Nick maybe should have got community man of the year? Fair play that he does this.

Its not what you or I think or see on matchdays' The clue is in the title players' player of the year and just in case it still has not sunk in players' as in plural ( more than one) that's a majority. HTH

| NGB4C . Just admit you were wrong.
It's a player's player award. It's not judged on performance alone.
You clearly didn't read it and thought it was a different award.
Accept your error and move on.

Fair play that he does what?
He does the extras he does within the playing group (hence the 'Players Player' Award) with the exception of the Scholarship player but even then it's within the club so why a Community Award?
Goodness me!

| I hadn't realised but Scruton also won man of steel. Is that not for the best player at the club? If that's the case I can see NGB4C's point of view. Whilst what he has apparently done off the pitch is very commendable, the actions on the pitch are what I would consider would count towards such an honour. He's been better in his latter games but by no means the stand out IMO. Ryan has been excellent for most of the season, Tautai, despite leaving at the end of the year has been impressive.

This is from the website -
"Scruton, also missing the end of the campaign due to surgery on a longstanding thumb injury, was awarded the Wildcats Man of Steel award. Scruton joined from Bradford Bulls early in the campaign and featured in every game prior to his surgery and has made over 400 metres more than any other Wildcats prop during the year"
Which is funny because i`m sure Tautai and Anderson must have made more meters than him?

They have. Daniel Smith has played plenty of prop and has also made more.

| Well they struggle to count to 19 every week on the website when the squad news is released so four figure numbers is likely to be beyond them.
Meters by props this year...
Tautai 2112 (18 games)
Anderson 1656 (19 games)
Smith 1622 (18 games)
Scruton 1578 (22 games)
Moore 952 (15 games)

950 from 14 games.
Of the 6 main props this year Scrutons average gain is the lowest as well. He improved as the season went on no doubt but i guess the m.o.s. award shows his worth to the club as a whole rather than just on the field.

| What a stupid argument - the players have obviously voted for Scruton for reasons we don't know about; maybe the fact he's overcome adversity influenced their decision?
Either way, it's impossible to argue with - it's a subjective opinion, and believe it or not, players value different things to fans!

Summed up perfectly for me,
Maybe they voted for Scruton instead of Tautai because he decided to stay with the club and not bail out who knows.
