| Quote The Clan="The Clan"OK, here's my thoughts
Looking at the Michael Carter appeals to fans thread and this one I think it could be time for something bold.
How about we take a knock financially on the kit deal in order to get adidas to officially supply the kit. We then go with the white Wally Lewis style kit for home
[url=http://s180.photobucket.com/user/ClanKelly/media/adidaswhite_zps8cceb661.png.html [/url
and the Blue David Topliss kit for away.
[url=http://s180.photobucket.com/user/ClanKelly/media/adidasblue_zpsb2afe137.png.html [/url
The draw of the adidas kits will be appealing to the younger fans and I think we'd sell them by the bucketload
also the club could do a deal for both shirts with every season ticket sold making the season ticket option more attractive.'"
I like this idea, but it'd be a big gamble with a reasonably tidy sum I'd imagine.
I think the best kits we've had recently are the Prostar ones from 2009 and the Kooga from 2006, still got both of mine today and they're good as new.

| Quote Daddycool="Daddycool"As much as I am a massive fan of all things adidas, what makes you think we are in a position to 'take a knock financially' on anything?'"
Just a suggestion to try and engage some of those who have walked away whilst also trying to be attractive to the younger more Brand aware fans, I actually think we'd sell some to none Wakefield fans and maybe even non Rugby League fans.
I'm not sure how the finances stack up re supply of kit to the squads and supply of merchandise for the shop(s) but I think the adidas shirts would massively outsell anything we've had in the last 20 years. Whether that would be compensation enough for the 'Knock' I can't say. Maybe, when you take into account the fans who return and pay in, buy a pint, or get a season ticket we might come out ahead, if not then like I said, Its just a suggestion!

| I would of thought they would pay us to wear their shirts, they have at Man United. In all seriousness can you ask Macron to make more realistic sizes. They should think of us like Italians living in America, they will then have a better idea.

Roughly we have to buy £100000 worth of merchandise of macron. Roughly we will make around 50000 gross profit on this. Then there is the cost of the shop and staff. So net profit will be around 20000. Macron would want a sizeable amount to buy out the last 2 years of their contract. A legacy of previous debts from previous regimes. And this is purely a guess but I would say the wholesale price of items from adidas would be far greater then those of macron. Anyway, I don't see a way out of our contract.
There was a general point I was trying to make as well and this is not directed at you clan, but to people in general, having had various conversations over the past couple of months. Do people actually believe we are now flush with cash? Things are as tight as they have ever been. I sometimes get the feeling people think we are problem free financially? Although things are under control there is still a lot of work to be done.

| There are 2 great things with those shirts which won't ever happen again.
- made of cotton not the synthetic stuff
- no sponsors so I'm not a walking bill board
If Wakey did a club shirt design in a cotton collard tshirt with no sponsors on, I'd be up for that.

Now that might be an option. Although I'm still paying the last guy who produced a shirt 18 months ago!! We wouldn't be able to use adidas though

I'd definitely be up for a heritage cotton shirt - advert free would be a big bonus.
A proper Wakefield Trinity jumper with long sleeves and a collar - and no nylon? It's a yes from me!

Me too. Don't like shirts without a collar but can handle short sleeves.

Likewise, i'd have one of those. Won't be buying another Macron effort i'm afraid unless the quality is much higher. Everything we have had from them so far is imho cheap rubbish.

| I'd buy a cotton heritage shirt if it were well made, I'm not too worried about it having a sponsor on or not.
Looking at clans shirt, is it possible to have four stripes on the shirt, I notice that Paramatta have that on their shirts and don't seem to get any bother from adidas about it.
