As I was going through the Donny Road turnstiles a heard a steward explain to a Wigan fan that it was no food or drink except Water which seems fair to me so long as it is the same all round the ground.

It does make me laugh when people turn up for a 3pm kick off with a full picnic. Surely it is possible for people to eat before hand and go the 2 hours that they will be in the ground without having to eat and if you are peckish I am sure there are several places around the ground to get something that will tide you over.

(I will add that people who have medical conditions that may require food such as diabetes, exceptions should be made.)

I have a medical condition of being greedy and fat. Does that count?

Can you get a doctors note for it?

Don't know where you got your info from Jason but we came in through the West Stand turnstiles and both the wife and daughter had their bags searched by a steward on the gate.

I carried a full keg of beer in under my shirt, never stopped me!

On Sunday i went to the front gate as I have done for years to enter through the gate as I always take one of my kids (in there buggy) , I hand over my ticket and enter with no problem. But this week I was stopped by a arrogant steward and was asked if he could check my babies (11 month) changing bag, he took out her baby juice, banana, and small pack of snack crisps and put them on the floor and said you can't take them in!!! , I stated you can't take them off her she needs her juice and food as it was hot and she's only just started weaning he replied watch me. I told him it was disgusting and he just laughed.
I picked up the drink etc and then went down to the gates by the cats bar and explained what had happened to a young lady on the gate and she ushered us straight in.
Surely this is wrong what he was doing , taking juice and food off a 11 month baby???
I haven't had chance to ring the club about it but I will be.

I have to say although I haven't been affected personally this is one moan about the club policy that is very much justified.
I understand what they are trying to do but they are missing the point by a very long way.
Taking drinks off kids and babies is utterly ridiculous.
