Got to weigh up how much it has cost the club in lost revenue and how much extra it has cost to upgrade the make up of the tickets.
Balance this against a credit card system that you could get one year and renew using the same card the next, upto 3 years. Then issue a new one.
Easy!!

Not sure on the startup costs but I can't see why the upgrade couldn't be implemented at Belle Vue. The scanners used at Odsal are handheld probably no bigger than a USB stick in size.

What you seem to overlook is that a lot of tickets that go round the pubs and clubs set off from within the club (freebies). What is the total number of tickets given away for a match .

He's already made it clear that that will stop.

Each season ticket has got a number on it and this can be traced back to the owner.

If the club take in loads of 'identical' tickets then they can then contact the owner.

The club can then refuse entry to all 'fans' trying to gain entry with that number. A sort of Rogues gallery for season tickets.

Nice idea in theory, but I doubt it was as simple as running them off on a photocopier and printing them out, they were probably scanned and edited using a PC and if you are going to go to that much trouble then changing the number in blank text box over the original is a very easy task.

With the job i do and the software available to me i'd probably do a good job too!

I normally get my season ticket free due to the oldest lad having Aspergers and me being classed as his carer.Due to the financial problems I have said I will pay full price and not claim the carers free ticket this season so its easy to guess my thoughts on this.

Lets look at the main problem with this issue.

Thieves will copy money, concert tickets , disabled passes , train tickets , sky cards , gas cards and i could go on.

When ever a new deterrent is put in place a new I.T
Moss guy comes along cracks a code and away they go.

I dont trust the chip card system because our gatestaff have been to lazy since SL at Wakey to check anything . I have given 4 tickets over before on the gate i did for 10 years "2 adults and 2 kids"
Now at least now you get a smile etc but they never check . I could be handing over 1 match ticket adult and 3 ramdom child tickets from games we have missed.

As for the photocopy case if i was DCI Hunt i would have a word with jack daniels and a whisper in ron bacardis ear before going to the burth place of the tickets and start kicking down some professonal printers doors as they would have the softwear and the paper . Please note im not Gene Hunt and have never found myself looking after police consatables who have died in service.

I think the guilty party should have fingers or kness removed
