I fully agree with trying to retain our own, indeed, it's critical that we keep on producing our own young players and it does make you wonder how Fax can offer a young player more that an established SL team (even if we are currently skint)

Credit where credit is due the reduction in the playing staff is one thing the board are good at. I don't know when they will reach the bottom I doubt they have finished yet. The problem we face is where are the new players coming from, the World Cup apparently. The problem there is if Halifax and Featherstone are willing to pay higher salaries than us what standard of player are we left with.
We also have the problem that it is unlikely that the team will be finalised for the start of the season and we know what problems that can cause.
We are not skint, £300,000 is not skint but if people keep saying we are then it will be perceived as such and will impact on the quality of player who are willing to sign for us.

No I would not put it in even if I had that amount of money why should I if KH and your dad are not willing to invest.

£300,000 may not be a lot in your eyes but when we are in money troubles again only 2 or 3 seasons after the last one. It is a massive amount.
