Tautai should be as fresh as a daisy as it was a thumb injury which should not affect cardiovascular training. Think he may be devastating at 13 with his speed, power and size. Shame Sykes wasn't at 6 and it would be our strongest 17. Big Pack!

I'm not sure how much either pay to wipe a couple of thousand off the gate but it doesn't cover it.

We might get a better share of the 50:50 decisions but other than that I want to see folk through the gate.

Anything less than 9,000 would be a disappointment.

Stand off is a bit of a headache even when Sykes is fully fit.

Could do with finding one, but who I'm not too sure.

Its a shame Briers has signed an extension with Wire, not a long term solution but he certainly would've improved the creativity of the team by 100%.

Since we signed Sykes we have played 42 SL games with 19 wins, 22 losses and 1 draw

Games where Sykes has not played - 1 win, 4 defeats
Games where Sykes played at Centre - 1 win, 6 defeats
Games where Sykes played Stand Off - 17 wins, 12 defeats and 1 draw


That tells me that Sykes playing Stand-off for us works, and works well. What about you?

He is the best option currently, but Trinity should still be looking to improve in this area regardless.

I do agree, but the poster who said stand off was a headache even when Sykes is fit is wrong IMO.

It tells me how we play when Sykes plays for us. It doesn't tell me how well we'd do with a new signing at 6.

I do quite like Sykes but I'd prefer to have a more creative 6, but that is a minor gripe. I am happy enough with Sykes continuing if that is what we can afford. He's a solid player.

Our last tackle plays are bad enough without one of the 2 main options being injured. It will screw us again IMO

I agree and I certainly wouldn't have Washbrook at 6 but that's just me. He must be the least creative player in the team! I'd try L. Smith is collis is fit or Wildie/Goulding. Wildie hasn't shone there before but he's got more flair than Washy.
