Good news and has saved the club a lot of earache!

To be honest, regardless of youth policy and bringing on our own he has proved himself a good player.
He isn't one for the future any more, he stands on his ability right now, and is a good signing for us.

Whilst watching the home game debacle against Hull, I was sat close to a couple of shall we say "Experienced" and quiet supporters. So quiet that I was not at all sure which team they had come to watch! At the end of the game they turned to me and said that the young Wakey second rower should have got the MOM award for his sheer hard graft and none stop effort. They were in fact Hull fans and talking about Anakin! Praise in deed,

This is great news - good to able to end the speculation and hopefully, he'll be one of the stand-outs in 2013.

It is good news, but expect if my and probably your previous experience is anything to go by for Anakin's form to dip or even nose dive now he has a deal. He will recover soon enough but it is often the case that young players lose focus after getting their first deal. He may be an exception like Ellis but I for one won't put to much expectation on the lad in the short term.

Read it again for heavens sake, it's reality and that's why young players are gradually brought on. Expect Anakin to occasionally drop out of the 17 every now and then, that's what good coaches do. However if he is the player we ALL hope he is he will come back stronger every time.

There are exceptions to the rule but generally young players take two steps forward then one step back, it's the nature of sport and nothing to do with doom or gloom.

Yep second half of 2014 when he really hits his stride for me.

Great news ! Would like to see him at loose forward though. Washbrook simply hasn't cut it this year.

Washy is still a tackling machine, although he doesn't seem to be giving too much in with ball in hand.

RA mentioned this and is working with Washy to get it back, user all know he's a decent ball handler when in form.

To a ceratin extent we did this with Ferres.
He had skills, and shows that he still has them now but we also wanted him to be a tackling machine. Hard to do both and he got criticism about it and went.
